Hello ladies! I'm new, I hope I'm in the right place. I'm 41 and trying to conceive for the 1st time. We're using the turkey baster method. Wishing us all loads of luck ❤

Hi, blooming! Welcome! Maybe we can get more of a conversation going here. For me- cd 10 here and opk was positive yesterday. Went from blank circle to solid smiley in 5 hours. The first test was probably diluted urine though. 4 hour hold but had a huge drink in there. Also - I have a yeast infection. Yuck. We dtd anyway but with my 8th, I had had problems with yeast for 8 months and had to clear it up before we conceived. So I basically have about zero hope for this month. Every month, it seems there's something preventative. Oh, well. I'm blessed.

Hi all, I'm still around just have logging in issues most days. Still reading but often can't chime in, so frustrating!
5DPO here with some hopes for this cycle.

Woohoo I'm in two days in a row, I will never, if I live to be 100, understand the vagaries of the internet.
6DPO, temp up a bit more, random throbbing and twinging to the right since last night....nothing else to report. I am not much of a symptom spotter.
How is everyone?

Hey Twacky! I'm with you, the computers and smart phones are still mysterious. I am just now ovulating, or in a few days. But already having some pregnancy symptoms, wondering if I ovulated early this month? Probably not, but hopeful every month.

I'm 8 dpo. Still have the yeast, which must not be yeast as nothing will cure it. I've used diflucan, monistat 3, nystatin, coconut oil, now trying colliodal silver. I'm not going to get antibiotics yet because that will for sure cause yeast. It's lovely being a woman.

Yikes that sounds uncomfortable! I hope the silver works. I have faith in it myself. I'm one day behind you. Here's hoping...
After this cycle i'll be taking a break to revisit the whole parenthood thing with DH. He has only one reservation, which is funny cos I have a million yet I'm still ttc lol!

What is his reservation? My husband's only reservation is that we're already tired!

lol about being tired!
DH is a fair bit older than I. Lost his dad when very young and cant handle thinking that he will leave us before his future child is grown up. I get it. I grew up without a dad in my life too altho mine eventually grew up and got back in my life. Anyway. Its his emotions. I have to respect them.
On another topic...does anyone know how to break the poas adiction???!!! I have one test. Its faaar too early. I need to be tied up!

Seriously, being tired is also my only reservation! It's so real. I do use ovulation predictor kits but typically I've found the CFM is just as accurate For me. Also almost 43 and not feeling as hopeful so becoming less eager.

At this point, I wouldn't believe a positive test anyway. I'm on progesterone, so symptom spotting is worthless. Unless it's obvious (and 8 times out of 9 it has been by 12 dpo), I won't test until 14 dpo then stop the progesterone if negative. The tired thing IS real. My 2 year old is getting molars, so not sleeping well, my husband is traveling most weeks, three of mine at home are playing baseball (my oldest plays in college), one in gymnastics, and I homeschool. There's a trampoline in my library right now for my littles to get energy out while I teach/do laundry/cook! I've handled more than 55 doctors appointments since September. I'm not complaining. I chose this. All I've EVER wanted to be was Mommy and when my house is clean and quiet, I'll be so, so sad. But...I'm tired!

Bfn today. 10.5 dpo (ovulated at night). It's what I expected with this stupid yeast that won't go away but still crappy to see.
