hcg trigger & testing??

Postby Ash1984 » Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:45 am

Those of you ladies who have used the HCG trigger shot, how many dpo did you wait to test to try to avoid a false positive?

Personally I always waited 10dpt and the trigger was always out of my system.

But it also depends on the dose of trigger...the higeher the dose the longer it can stay in your system.

I'd also "test out" the trigger...I'd POAS until the trigger was gone, then I'd know for sure :)

Different women metabolize the trigger faster than others. This cycle, I had a BFN on an IC at 9dpt and a true BFP on an FRER at 11dpt. My first IUI cycle, I had super faint lines on my ICs till 14dpt. If you're worried, I'd just keep testing daily to see what the line looks like.

I had a 10,000 iu trigger. I tested out my trigger every 2 days until 9DPIUI and then every day. My tests never showed a true BFN but became very light at 9DPIUI and then started to darken up the next day.
I am glad I tested out such a large dose.
Fingers crossed for you!

This morning 11/30 is 10 days post IUI & 12 days post trigger. The line is faint but still there, the line was slightly darker on 11/28 but has stayed the same on 11/29 & 11/30.

Im getting nervous because it got lighter, but there is still a line....holding hope....

Unfortunetly my 4 yr old broke my digi camera, so I can only take a pic with my phone and you cant see anything on it!

Trigger was 10,000/units, most I have read online says the trigger should be out of your system within 7-10 days after the shot is given. This is dependent however on how fast your metabolism is. Amanda has a very high metabolism.

Idk what to think anymore...

Your pic progression has given me some hope! Also reading that your symptoms faded and returned also is what we are experiencing. She was super sick and just not herself and has the nose of a dog, things have calmed down besides some mild cramping which she said is earlier then normal. We skipped testing today and just decided to wait till day 14 and test like the dr told us....and use a digi so we dont have to guess at lines lol

So Stressful!!!
