page 4!!

Went out and bought two Answer HPTs to use later... well, one later and one tomorrow AM if AF doesn't show. I was holding DD, paying and the cashier holds up the Answer box and says "You're crazy" (because I had a kid who is almost two and maybe having another, apparently) Gee, thanks!

Sara - Just like I said to Catango - you need to (please?) give us a list of your SX, your cycle details (you had just 1 follie right?), etc etc.
I just read thru all of our March IUI threads to try to have a review of your month! :jump:
You had that greenish snotty EWCM...hmmm! And sore bbs to start, then went away, then came back, etc...

I'm beyond excited for you - all of this positive energy is totally spreading amongst our group! Image
(I know, I'm a little crazy w/ these emoticons...I'm obsessed).

oh man! I can't remember exact days for symptoms... other than what I've mentioned in our group! All I know was that right after trigger, I had sore BBs... then worst when I had the booster but then the soreness went away around 3 days past booster... and came back later in the week. They're still off and on and it seems like they're more sore at night than during the day.

I had major AF cramps starting on 10dpiui and lasting through 11dpiui
Mild cramps on and off after that through today.
EWCM and then Snotty gross EWCM (but only once... it wasn't consistent)
I've had a really runny nose since Friday (14dpiui)
Spotting this morning (which I hope goes away)
I'm SO hungry. I've been pigging out since after the IUI. It's ridiculous.
Mild nausea on and off since 11dpiui
Heartburn, but I had it once and it was like, 6dpiui, not even bad enough to think much about
And the only other thing I can think of was I had a ZIT! on my neck! Just one big pimple that lasted days which I knew was something was off with my hormones because I never get zits ever. Mild acne sometimes but hardly ever and never big pimples.

I did 6 nights of 75iu of Follistim... triggered with 5000iu on CD9. IUI on CD11 with 1 big follie (24mm) but also had 2 smaller follies that probably measured between 18-19mm. My estrogen # was 1046, and RE says that estrogen is about 250 per follie, so I guess that means I had at least 4 (but 24mm was obviously the mature one)

7dpiui I had my progesterone blood test... results came back at 9 which RE likes to see the number at 12 but 9 means I ovulated, and then I had my HCG booster that night of 2500iu to help with progesterone.

I've been taking pre-natals, but other than that, I didn't do much different. I still ate what I wanted, had a cup of coffee a day... started walking during lunch on nice days.

I'm just hoping this is real. With a BFP tomorrow, I'll have a blood test and I'm going to ask them for Prometrium to stop the spotting or I know I'll stress OUT.

Thanks Sara for writing it out :D
I have chills I'm so happy for you girl!
I'm sure you'll be having your Beta tomorrow - can't wait to hear what that is!
You could have twins in there you know...the 18-19mm follies are totally viable! Image

I keep having cramps and pressure near ovaries, and I keep thinking it means I am still ovulating. LOL Totally messing with my head. My IUI was Thursday AM.
well keep us posted tomorrow! Have you told DH yet?

Yeah I call tomorrow for as beta, assuming I still get a BFP in the morning. I went out with DD and bought a 'Big Sister' shirt...

she's going to be wearing it tonight when DH gets home from work (in about an hour). He's been so optimistic this cycle, even when I had a twinge of brown CM (I forgot to say that!) yesterday and cried because I thought AF was coming... he kept saying it wasn't over until my period showed and if it did, we'd get it next month. I think he wants a second baby more than me (if possible) so I'm thinking he'll be happy :)

And OMG don't say twins! LOL. For ttc#1 I was all 'I could do twins!' but then after just havin DD... man it's work just having one!

I had small ovary cramps for a couple days past IUI :) the worst was the day after IUI but then they subsided a bit! I took that as to mean I had a strong ovulation.

Oh what a cute idea w/ the Big sister shirt!
When my time comes, I'll have to find a better way to tell DH than last time - he was on the road for work, so I sent him a pic of the BFP and he didn't understand what it meant! LOL

I tried to hold off telling DH the first time, but he was more in tune with my cycle/test dates than I was! Honestly, I was testing 4 days before I was supposed to and not telling him about the BFPs.

I took a digi in the bathroom at work and it said PREGNANT... the next day was my official testing so I was trying to think of ways to tell him, but when he picked me up from work, I just couldn't stop smiling... I got in the car grinning and he looked at me and said 'Did you just fart?' OMG!

Needless to say I just showed him the test in the car. He smiled real big but wouldn't believe it until the next morning when I tested again.

Can I join you ladies? I am on clomid. Its CD6 today. So, I have 1 more clomid pill in the morning, then start testing with OPKs on Friday.

I will do my trigger once I get a +opk and schedule the IUIs for the next 2 days.

Last time I did a trigger with a IUI, we did the IUI that day and the next. I don't want to miss the egg. :) How was your scheduling?
Thanks!

SARAEK!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I'm over the moon for you lady! :)

Hi guys!
Headed to the airport in an hour for a quick work trip, but wanted to give you all the information I could on what I did this cycle because there was a lot different from the previous 10 cycles.

March 3, u/s = follies 24, 17, 14, 13; Ovidrel trigger, definitely start cramping that evening
IUI day: Great sperm count and progressive motility, went in for acupunture a few hours after procedure. This is our second round of IUI, 11th month trying to conceive.
1 dpiui: BD
2 dpiui: BD
3-4 dpiui: nothing
5 dpiui: acupuncture
6-9 dpiui: nothing
10 dpiui: really faint BFP on IC? Half hour meditation (the spa downstairs had a free session, I've never really meditated before)
11 dpiui: acupuncture, faint BFP on IC continues, I'm still in doubt but acupuncturist is very excited...her happiness boosted mine :)
12 dpiui: okay, that's definitely a line on the IC, but it's late at night
13 dpiui: seems like the IC line is fainter? It's Saturday, it's the middle of the day, and I can't take it any longer. I pull out a digital and it says "Pregnant!" I say, "Holy sh*t!" Husband is thrilled. He goes on an IC and confirms that he is not pregnant. Too bad, maybe next time ;)
14 dpiui: Welcome to my roller coaster this morning. IC and FRER positive this morning, digital negative. My whole morning is a funk. We meet some friends, I'm still funky. Pick up another digital (whoah mama, those babies are expensive) and I test about an hour ago. It sas "Pregnant." I am much relieved, and now you are caught up.

What I did different this cycle:
Acupuncture. I've never tried it before, and really didn't know what to expect. It was really relaxing, and I have to say, I think it really did improve my lining. My lining last cycle, without acupunture, was 8.6. This go around, it was 10. I didn't change anything else. It was also very, very relaxing. So I was guaranteed an hour a week where my mind was peaceful. I had called my doctor beforehand and asked what he thought about me trying acupuncture. He said, "Well, there's no medical evidence to suggest anything, but I am all for anything that will help you relax." That's all I needed to hear :) I had acupuncture before the IUI, the day of the IUI, and once a week since. My insurance doesn't cover it, but yours might. It's pricey, but it was cheaper than an IVF for sure. I'll probably go once every other week through the first trimester.

Fresh pineapple. I've seen this all over the boards, but I'm not a big fruit person (don't worry moms, I love my veg). But, my acupuncturist said to take a pineapple, cut it into fifths, and eat one-fifth everyday following my IUI.

I added Omega3s and CoQ10 to my daily vitamins. The acupuncturist recommended these daily packs, but it was so expensive. So I memorized the dosages and just did it myself at the grocery store. MUCH cheaper :)

Every day I take:
1 Whole Foods prenatal
1000 mg Flaxseed Oil, twice daily
100 mg CoQ10, once daily
850 mg Omega 3s (it's some mix, but there was DHA in it and that's what the acupuncturist recommended)

I do that fertility yoga 2-3 times a week.

In hindsight, this all sounds very new age-y, and I'm really not that kind of gal. But I think it did do something to lift my spirits, as the previous cycles, I was pretty down about things. The last IUI I remember thinking, "Well, that's not going to work." This time, I was pretty optimistic.

Hope that helps, I'd love to stay with you guys and see your BFPs, as this group really made a difference in my outlook. So don't count me out yet.

Catango -holy moly...so you got a +Digi on 13DPiui...then a -Digi the next morning (14DPiui) and a + later that same day! No wonder it put you in a funk!
Safe travels with your business trip. No idea how you're calm enough to take on a business trip right now. LOL I'd probably forget 3/4ths of my luggage.
Congrats again!
I'm a firm believer in the acupuncture - and basically anything that can help you de-stress and 'believe'.

Jessica - Welcome to the thread! some of the ladies on here did the same as you: Clomid and IUI. I did Follistim / IUI.
So I think the timing could be a little different. And I've found that the RE determines the trigger and IUI dates dependent on the follicle growth. I usually ovulate around CD15...but w/ the follistim I was suddenly triggering on like CD9 with IUI on CD11!
Keep us posted on your cycle timing! and Image

just a quick note, will do personals in the morning...

been havin spotting off and on all day... mostly pink, but it's turned brown. Actually had some red spotting/bleeding after a bowel movement (sorry tmi). I guess the straining caused it (from what I read online, straining bms in pregnancy can cause bleeding...still scary to see). right now, I have no spotting but I don't know if it'll stay away. Going to test in the morning as long as I don't get heavy bleeding... will keep everyone updated! Trying to take it easy and drink lots of fluids until the morning.
