Has anybody taken soy isoflavones??? If so did it get your BFP? Also-what dosage and days of cycle did you take it?

3 ladies in my buddy group had BFP's from soy, but i don't know what dosages they took. It seems to work for some people but for one lady in our group it messed her cycle up...hope this helps!! just remember everyone's different and it can't hurt to try if you do decide to go for it x

I've read that if you have pcos you shouldn't take soy. I took soy on cd 1-5 and took 80mg cd 1-3 and 120mg cd 4&5 and got a BFP. That one ended in m/c and I'm currently on my second cycle of soy after my m/c. Took the same dosage.

Thank you ladies! Thankfully I do not have PCOS. I've read so many different dosages and days to take so I decided on taking it CD3-7 started out at 100mg then will increase to 200mg for the last 2 days. We'll see how it goes.
ambernicole-did you have any side effects? I found some at the local GNC-where did you get yours from, the pharmacies don't seem to carry it.

I got mine from Walmart. Each pill was 40mg. I hope it works for you like it did for me. I'm currently waiting, hoping & praying this second cycle of soy results in a BFP like it did before. FX for both of us!

Also, soy works differently for people differently but the later I took soy the later I o'd. Same goes for dosage. The higher dosage I take the later I O. And I forgot to answer this...

The only side effects that I had were headaches really. I took mine all at once right before bed so I may have slept through most.

I took soy in march and got my bfp! I upped my dose each day because I got mixed reviews on how I wanted to use it but I read that 100 mg of soy was equal to 50 mg of clomid. I O later in my cycle and I also read that you tend to O 5-10 days after your last dose, so I took the soy cd 5-9. On cd 5 I took 80 mg, cd6 I took 120 mg, cd 7 I took 160 mg, cd 8 I took 200 mg, and on cd 9 I took 240 mg which ended up being 5 pills. I read that the soy you get at GNC has an odd amount of actual soy in it so be sure you read the ingredients. I did get some mild headaches but the ine symptom I got from the spy was tingling hands. They tingled the whole time I took the soy and it was very strange. Good luck and I hope you get your bfp!

carak-thank you for the information. Where did you get your soy? The GNC soy bottle says 40% soy isoflavones. I've been taking it at night before bed and sleep sooo good but have been having really strange and vivid dreams!
congrats on your BFP and happy and healthy pregnancy to you! :)

I just started taking Soy on monday. I took 80mg on Mon and 120mg on Tues. I am taking it cd5-9, because I already ovulate regularly, but have a short LP. I am a little worried about it messing things up since I ovulate regularly, but this is our 12th cycle ttc and my dr doesn't "believe in" luteal phase problems, so i wanted to try something. I have already been doing B6 for a while and I tried vitex months ago, without any success.
The one thing I have noticed so far is that AF seems to have come back since I have been taking the soy. It is usually really heavy, lasting for 4 days, which it did this month, but then came back on cd6 and is still sticking around! Oh well, as long as it works! I am soooo hoping for a :bfp: this month. Good luck to all of you girls!
