Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
4 years later - BFP with IUI #2
As with most of you, I've obsessed over this site for years! I finally get to post my own BFP story!
A bit of background, Hubby and I are both 31 and have been trying since we got married in Oct 2012.
Fast forward a few years of testing, HSG, semen analysis and they came back with unexplained infertility (Lucky us!!)
We had our first IUI in Oct 2016 which resulted in BFN. We were pretty gutted but we picked ourselves up and got on with it!
I then started the IUI process again on 2nd Jan, took 100ml of Gonal-F and hoped I would have a few good follies.
Triggered with Ovidrel and had IUI the next morning on 15th Jan - I only had one follie measuring 20mm and hubbys sample was 8 million post wash with 85% motility.Didn't feel confident at all! I started Endometrin 2dpiui - three times daily.
Now to the good stuff:
1dpiui - Sore from IUI, major cramping (not like first IUI
2dpiui - More cramping and a few headaches throughout the day
3-6dpiui - nothing much to report - cramps on and off
7dpiui - Took a FRER to check trigger - love seeing a positive even though I know it's not real! (Like a psycho) Lower back pain
8dpiui - Nausea, intermittent throughout the day - thinking this is trigger. Feeling dizzy at times, more cramps, lower back pain
9dpiui - Nausea in the am. More cramps - took another test which was very faint.
10dpiui - Trigger officially gone. Heartburn, cramps, starving! Sore boobs start - at the sides but no sore nipples, lower back pain
11dpiui - Nausea again in the AM. Usually when hubby is driving me to work it's worse. Heartburn is off the chart, tums are now my best friend.Lower back very sore today. Took a FRER in the PM and got a faint line - hmmmmmm getting a tiny bit excited as trigger was gone!
12dpiui - Woke up at 4:30am and took a FRER - Pink line straight away, much darker than the night before. Then took a digi with the same urine, YES+ pops up after a minute! Actually can't believe it!!
Bloods are on Sunday so I will update with beta - hoping this is finally it for us.
Good luck to all the ttc ladies here! Your stories and support have helped me so much over the years. I wouldn't wish infertility on anyone and couples going through it deserve a medal!!
Baby dust to all xx
