Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

40 and pregnant naturally-what I did and symptoms!! Baby #2

Hey! When we decided to go for baby #2 I started to investigate and read all this information on how difficult it was to conceive after 40. About 5% chance. I decided that I would beat the odds. Took us 4 cycles. I stopped birth control and 4 cycles later got the BFP. At the moment I am almost 4 weeks. Got my BFP at 9DPO (wondfo-very faint). Next day it got darker and at 12DPO did a digital and got my favorite word "Pregnant". So what did I do....my cocktail was: Prenatal with DHA, Omega 3, Selenium + COQ10 (only during 4th cycle). My diet is always pretty healthy, but if I got a donut, I will eat it (life is short). I added more green to my smoothies. Example: Banana, blueberries, kale, spinach and grounded flax seeds (normally a smoothie a day). I tried to do exercise, I like to run but decided that it might not help it I ran when TTCing so I did step machine and hills. Got to get the blood Flowing. Very important. Lots of water also and Decaffeinated green tea. And my husband also took Omega 3, Selenium + COQ10 (only during 4th cycle, not even the whole cycle, he would forget) and folic acid. And he also had to get active. We are both at a good weight so that was to an issue. The symptoms I had where dull cramps right after ovulation (used OPK-Amazon ones to track ovulation and they seem to work very well). I have had dull cramps ever since and still have. And around 7 DPO the BBS started to hurt, mainly in the middle, ouch. I feel a little nausea during the day, sore BBS and dull cramping. Those are the only symptoms for know. I had the same with my first baby (age 36). I hope my stories helps and mommies over 40 realize that it can be done. Know just praying everything goes well. My 1st sonogram at week 6. Baby dust for everyone!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing your story.  I am 43 TTCing #1.  You have given me hope that it can happen for me too.  Thank you.

Congratulations!  FXd for a happy and healthy 9 mos.

congratz on your bfp H&H 9 months :)

Thank you for sharing! I'll be 38 this month on the 16th and would love to try for #1! I'm trying to just be relaxed about it and have the "if it is meant to be it will be" attitude. I just worry about how long it could take and the miscarriage possibility. I'm kind of scared of all of it. :/

Care to update us!?
