Wow, how lucky you are.  Ignore anyone metioning your age.  Best of luck!!!!!

thats wonderful!

Agreed :)

yes please ignore anyone saying you are too old... omg I could slap her... Life begins at 40 so you are just a baby and in biblical times it was very common! congratulations and God Bless!

Seriously, if she was not going to have the baby why would she have posted here.  And if you think she is too old why are you even trolling on the BFP over 40.  Something is serioulsy wrong with you.  Keep your negativity to yourself.

i am 46 and 32 weeks pregnant naturally,i have a 17 yr old child and never expected this, after the initial shock it is a wonderful surprise, good luck to all out there trying for a baby in your 40's,it can happen...

I just turned 40, hubby is almost 41 and we are trying for our 4th and final sweet baby.  Age does not define a happy family and I couldn't be happier for you and your little one to be.  Congratulations!

I'll be 41 in a few months.  DH and I have been trying for a year.  We have five, living children (two are adopted), and one, sweet, angel baby.  I never had trouble getting pg when I was young...thanks for giving me some hope!

How did it happened

Congratulations! I was on here in 2005 and 2007 when I conceived at ages 38 and age 40 using Clomid. I am looking around on the site again, because I love it, and because I think I may have become pregnant again at age 46, using the withdrawal method of contraception. (not much of a method). I will buy a PT tonight.

Age is mind over matter, I don't even believe in menopause, it’s only a mental state…As long as you are producing eggs you can still get pregnant, regardless of what anyone would say, I’ve seen some 46 or even 50 year olds who are healthy active and look even much younger and much healthier than some 30 year olds.
Enjoy your pregnancy, look after you, having a baby at 46 is a blessing to you and your body, you will see your body will renew itself. Make sure to adapt a healthy and active life style and enjoy your next phase of life with your baby  I am so happy for you keep your head up and keep positive, keep us posted on how things will go.

Hi ladies, I just found out that I am pregnant and it happened naturally! About 8 months ago I did a cycle of IVF and it failed miserably. My doctor told me my eggs kinda dissolved the second my husbands sperm was injected. I was totally heart broken. I figured my changes were low at my age but the quality of my eggs seemed so low that I didn't even want to try a second time. So my husband and I decided to count our blessings as I already had a 5 year old child from a previous relationship. We forgot about getting pregnant and went on with life. Then 5 days ago I realized I had not had my period in a while but I thought it was because I was getting close to the dreaded menopause and didn't think much of it. My breasts got sore and I started to feel constipated. My best friend suggested I take a pregnancy test and to my surprise I got two lines! The next day I ran to the doctor just to find that I was 8 weeks pregnant and the baby had a seriously strong heart beat! I left the office on cloud nine skipping to my car. So, ladies keep the faith...if it's meant to be it will any age. Good luck to all and congrats to every one of you experiencing this miracle.

Hi everyone, I recently had polyps removed from my uterus and also found out this caused infertility. Was lucky to have a child at 39 with no problems, but was sad when I has 3 unsucessful pregnancys after I'm. After my recent surgery my husband is talking about trying again....reading your post makes me think we are not so crazy...

Hi!!! I am soooo scared and thrilled at the same time. I have all the symptoms, no period (6 days late) and super sore breasts. Last year I got pregnant but lost after 6 weeks. My doctor recommended not to try again, he said that there is a chance for my baby to be sick or my body not to be able to fulfill a healthy pregnancy. It naturally happened again, last night I bought the test and I'm too scared to take it, but I know my body, I'm never late a day. I just don't want to be disappointed. I also have 3 more children: 25, 23 and 15....

I became pregnant naturally at 42 and that was just 3 months after removing my IUD ! I'm such a proud mother to my soon to be two year old ! I did get pregnant again about a year ago but lost the baby at 9 weeks. I would love to be pregnant again! I have an 18 year old daughter and a new grandson and in the small community we live in , we are the talk of the town. It's ridiculous...come on people what happenend back in the day when no birth control was available ?

congrats to everyone life does begin at 40! my babies heart beat stopped at 8 weeks
I was so sad I have a 23 and 18 year old I lost my oldest and darling son at 15 years
to cancer.I was so thankful for the good news so were my kids it gave us renewed hope.
Alas this one was not meant to be but good luck to all of you trying and soon to be moms.
It is the best joy in the world.

Am about 9 weeks pregnant. I am so scared.I am also worried about being pregnant at so confused.

God bless you and your family, it is truly a blessing from God, just embrace it and go with the flow. It is really no different than being pregnant at any age unexpectedly. It is just a shock to your system, take care of yourself and enjoy this later in life blessing. I am also 46 and not sure if it is my biological clock or what, but all things are still running like clockwork with my cycles, we have a 23, 12 and 10 year old and I am not using birth control and this past 6 months I find myself almost craving another child. Call me crazy but if it is God's plan I want to be a part of it.

Iam also trying to conceive at 46 I feel I have hope Thank you working on my first

so read these stories of hope! amazed that in 2014 even physicians will act like after 43 there is little to no hope. my husbands mother had him at 44 41 years ago! women in europe especially and third world countries have been having babies in their 40s for years amd years and go figure in our country it is still not readily accepted. you all inspire me.Iost 3 babies between 40 and 43...newly 46 we are trying with 9 frozen embryos left from an ivf cycke at ,45. one loss was trimester 2 with no evidence of anything wrong with me or explanation....that haunts me still. lack if reason more than anything. and no chromosonal issues prayers to all and pray for me!

I met my second husband, had 2 great kids at 34 and 36 and now we dream to have our baby . Tried during the most fertile days using Ovulation Test. I count the days till we could find out. So far I felt some cramps in lower belly and some minor back pain, no sickness....

Well, we found out recently that I am pregnant again after 4 miscarriages in the last 2 years. Ultra sound is tomorrow and hopefully I am far enough along so that I can hear the heartbeat..I feel very good about this one as I am nice and sick ;) and of course always thinking positive....If it is meant to be, it will happen :)

i had a baby boy at the age 44 in june of 2011, and now, when i am most turning 47 em september, just found out yesterday that i am pregnant again..i felt a burning in my stomach 4 nights ago,and i was having a lot of back period was supost to come on may 12, and because i always have the TPM,those horribles sintoms of period few days before the priod date,i was wondering why i did not had the sintoms this month....well, i had a dream too, my sister had a dream too, she called me to tel me about, so i decide to do the farmacy test..yesterday i got the first response (with 2 tests),did the first around 10 am, got the not pregnancy line but in about 2 minutes i got the second line, very faint line, but was there..waited for few more hours, around 3 pm i did nhe second one, the same thing happend, a dark line and a faint i was like, OMG, am i or not pregnant? so i decided to buy the celar blue digital, at 4.00 pm a did the clear blue, took a little that was like a days for me, i left the test on the bathroom sink and went to the kitchen, i was kind scared that i could find out a negative result, but when i went back there 3 minutes after, and i read the word ""pregnant"i got a mixture of fellings, can not tell you because i dont know how to explain, it is amazing how GOD can make this for us, i did not tell my husband yet, i am preparing a surprise for him this afternoon...a''and age, is on your mind"""GOD bless you all, all the preg moms, it does not matter the age, it is a bless!!!

Wow! That's all I could say when I saw the test go positive. And I couldn't form a complete sentence for 3 days...and Wow is what everyone says when they hear the news...most people are speechless. At 46 I thought it was menopause until the second missed period. My breast were so sore and getting swollen. One day I was in the grocery store and I thought I may faint which caused me to get the pregnancy test just in case. I have a 27 year old who has an almost 1 year old. And I have a 15 1/2 year old. I thought I was almost done child rearing. I'll have to say I didn't want to go through raising a child again after all these years. I thought I was finally going to have time for me. However now I realize that having a beautiful little child to raise is such a blessing and if God wants this for me, it's going to be wonderful. I can see now how much more wisdom I can share and more stability to provide. Luckily I have a lot of energy, although initially I was worried I was burnt out and couldn't do it because I am older. But I can see now that having a little one will keep me young and energetic for sure. Keep me on my ties and have a fabulous purpose for this little one to have a great life. I don't listen to anyone's talk about age. My doctors have been fabulous. Not one have made me feel awkward or strange. Once I had the genetic testing and all came back ok I felt a huge sense of excitement to share with everyone. I am 15 weeks now and I'm starting to gain more energy everyday again. Praying for all those Moms who share in this story. And thank you for sharing your stories. It such a blessing to know I'm not alone out there. I keep envisioning people's faces once they realize I'm pregnant and my age. But hey I love to see people surprised so here we go!

This blog site is inspiring. Had my first at 19 and didn't marry her dad. She is now 26 and has blessed us with 2 grandsons. I'm am 46 now. My husband would like to try for our own now, he didn't want kids earlier for a few reasons he needed to work out. I always wanted to have our own so when he mentioned it I quickly said yes we can try. Even with a low chance we agreed if it's Gods will and we are to be blessed then let's do it. I started thinking, I'm crazy, what would others think, am I going to be too tired, all the what ifs, then I read comments on this site and on other and now I feel OK. I'm not to only one trying. there's many like us out there. Also, knowing it may not happen is a bit worriesome too since we did wait. Thank you all you beautiful women for sharing. Happiness, health and prayers to all ;)

Don't give up or think that it cannot happen. I just turned 46 and am 12 weeks today. It has been very scary because of all the risks but the further along I get, the more confident I am. I was in shock when first found out. I thought I was just too old. So those of you that have told that they are too old and it most likely will not happen, think again. I have a 22 year old daughter in addition to my pregnancy.
