Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
BFN at 9dpo, BFP at 11dpo!!!
I've been checking out this website since I started TTC # 1 about 8 months ago. I am 28 (almost 29) and my husband is 31. I wasn't having normal periods until I lost about 15 lbs., and after I lost a total of 25 lbs., I began charting my temps. This was my 3rd month charting. I was sure that I would know I was pregnant and have symptoms. But as I learned with my first BFP this month, the symptoms are all kind of ambiguous. WHere's a run down
1 DPO to 8 DPO - pretty much nothing. Maybe feeling a little more tired than usual, but that could have been chalked up to a lot of things. Boobs might have started to feel more sensitive around day 8. Also had on and off cramps.
9 DPO - broke down and tested with FMU because I thought I noticed veins in my breasts around the areola and I still had slighlty sore boobs and a had some more gas than usual. And that morning I had the highest temp that I had charted since I began charting 3 months prior. It was a BFN.
10 DPO - despite the DPO, still think I might be pregnant b/c of the veins and the higher than usual temps. My husband wasn't much help; couldn't tell if the veins were there before or not. But in evening, I swear that the veins on my hips and lower abdomen looked darker. I was starting to think I was having imaginary pregnancy symptoms, so I resisted testing.
11 DPO - tested with FMU. BFP!!! That day started to feel more pregnant.
It's now day DPO 14 and I feel great. Sometimes I feel slighty off in the monring, not close to vomiting though. Just that if I keep food in my stomach I feel a little better. And I still have more gas than usual. Feeling great and counting my blessings!
Things I did different this month: We were away for a few days on vacation visitng the in-laws during O. I was pretty relaxed and had a nice time away. I also was taking 100 mg of B6 b/c I seemed to have a short luteal phase. And I had started taking a medication called cabergoline for about a week and a half before hand b/c I had a slightly raised prolactin level. It must have been a combination of all those that did the trick! Best of luck to everyone!!
