Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
BFP @ 40 & breastfeeding
Thank you everybody for sharing your stories and TWW for this site. I hope my story will also give lots of hope to all those TTC.
I am 40 yo, have 16 yr old DS from previous marriage. Remarried at 36 and have another DS with new husband. He just turned 2 and still breastfeeding. He is a miracle baby because when I had him, the doctor had just diagnosed me with blocked ovaries because of cysts through an ultrasound check and said I can never conceive. At the time, we had been ttc for 6 months. I was scheduled for a CT scan the next week so decided to take a pregnancy test just to be safe. And BFP. I never went to see that doctor again.
Present time, its 3:42am and I got up to wee. AF was supposed to show yesterday but didnt. I had done a test at 4pm and BFN. But i thought I would test again. It was a cheapie test and again BFN.. But then, just as I was chucking it in the bin, the faintest of lines appeared! I dug up the old test from yesterday, and it also had a very very very faint line.
Here were my tww symptons. Tbh, we weren't actively trying. We BD'ed only when we felt like it. But everytime we did, I put in a prayer.
These were the stand-out symptons that made me knew in my heart we had conceived.
BD'ed on CD9 and CD12 (o day).
3DPO till now - Gasseous. A lot of flatulence!!
4DPO till now - mild sore throat and it gets worse with each passing day. I feel hot but dont have a temperature. Last night, DH took me to hospital because I was coughing all day. Doc gave meds which I didn't take because I googled them all and they weren't safe. I didn't say anything to doc or DH because I had had a BFN but I just knew..
5DPO - face broke out in a rash because i was feeling so hot. Gone now after some cream.
10DPO - took test, BFN
14 DPO - period due (my cycle is 25-27 days) noticed heart was beating at 80 beats/min before bed.
Today: got my faint line. God is great and most kind. You just need to ask of Him, and put in some effort. Baby dust to all, may you have a wonderful pregnancy and a healthy and beautiful baby.
