Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

BFP at 16dpo

I'm older, DH and I thought we would try again last year. After six months and nothing, we resigned ourselves to the fact that we were past our fertility prime and accepted it.
I can't tell you how shocked I was when af was late, then bfp on cd 32!
The only real symptoms I had was one day of feeling super tired (around cycle day 26), two days of pink on the toilet paper after wiping (cycle days 26 & 28), and serious mood swings. I'm almost five weeks and just now getting sore bbs, and frequent urination.
Wasn't trying, but feel so happy and blessed. I wish all of you lovely ladies the best of luck, and keep the faith!

HI there! Thanks so much for sharing your story. It's nice to see someone "older" share a success story I am 37 and my DH is 53. We are both fairly healthy and we know his sperm count is okay and that my ovarian function and reserve look good. However, I am currently in the 2ww (10 dpo) on cycle 6 and am hoping for the best. In the interest of avoiding unnecessary testing or false negatives, I pretty much don't test until after I'm late. I have various symptoms but nothing that I can say definitively a pregnancy sign. I am tired, my back aches, I have some cramping, increased cm, acne starting, and my nipples are extremely sore-more so than usual. Today, I was urinating freqently. However, I do realize that not ALL cycles will be exactly the same and that all of these symptoms could just be run of the mill PMS. Then again, a lot of women are surprised with BFP's when they thought for sure it was just thier AF gearing up. Anyway, didn't mean to write a book, here. I just thank you for giving some hope and I wish you the very best of luck in your pregnancy! Congratulations!

Thanks Amber, I'm also 37 and wasn't expecting a bfp at all. In fact, I put a tampon in thinking af had shown up early and it was implantation bleeding! I didn't really have any telltale symptoms at the time, but NOW is another story. ;). Best of luck to you, and I know you will get your bfp soon!

I realize this thread is a bit old- But it has made my morning! I'm 37, AF is now 3 days late and a couple BFNs. All the weird things I'm feeling either mean early menopause or a bump right? lol> Maybe us "older" ladies dont have as many hormones to begin with! Thanks again! Congratulations!!!! Have a blessed baby!!!
