Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
BFP before septum removal surgery
History: After a year and a half of trying, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis, a complete uterine septum, and low egg count (1.5). I had a laparoscopy and hysterscopy in Oct 2018, where they removed as much of the endo as they could and removed polps from my cervix. They discovered that my septum was thicker then they thought so they didn't remove it. My RE wanted me to get an MRI and have a specialist look at it. They did and it was determined that they could operate on it safely and surgery was set for January. This was back at the beginning of December and it is now Dec 25 and I just got my first BFP three days ago. I would love to be consumed with joy but instead all I can think about is how likely my pregnancy will end in a miscarriage. Hopefully everything happens for a reason and if anything, I can say that YES I can get pregnant naturally. This month was probably the first month I didn't track any symptoms, thinking we could take a cycle off before my surgery. I'm not even sure when I ovulated and I think we only bd'd once around that time. Also after my laparoscopy, everything about my cycle was a little off. I did start changing a lot of things this month because I believed that after they removed my septum I would start on IVF and I wanted to start improving my egg quality. I started to think about my diet, BPA, and chemicals in our house. Coincidentally my husband bought a bunch of fresh pineapple (I think it was on sale) and I did eat all of it around the time of my ovulation. Also, my 80 year old grandma told me recently that the reason I don't have a baby is because I walk barefooted around my house. I disregarded this as a superstition.....but I started wearing socks to bed this month just in case. So I guess my grandma got the last laugh. I know its been said on here time and time again but I definitely have had more pregnancy symptoms in previous cycles then I did this cycle. The first sign something was off was the lack of my usual PMS symptoms. Usually about a week before my period my bb's get really hard and sensitive but they felt normal. I chalked it up to the changes from the removal of my endo. Then a couple days before my expected period I started to feel like I was coming down with something. I felt feverish (only had a low grade temp),tired, and sore throat. This was odd because I don't normally get sick and if I do it only lasts max two days. So on the third day of felling awful, I decided to test just for good measure and there was a shadow of a line on an amazon cheapie. I sent my husband out in the morning to get a First Response and a Clear Blue and they were instant positives. I have an appt tomorrow to get my blood drawn and find out the next steps. Good thought are appreciated!
