Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

BFP on Break (and trip to Europe!)

Well I'll be darned. We decided to take the summer 'off' so I had stopped charting. We went on a road trip through Europe and relaxed and I guess that did it! I got my BFP this morning, CD29/15DPO. I REALLY didn't expect it, as I have no real symptoms and as I say we hadn't really been trying this cycle. I used Clearblue Digital and got a 'Pregnant' at 6am and just sat there staring at it saying 'Really?' out loud even though I was the only one home. My DH was on call last night at the hospital so when he got home I started talking in the first person plural (we this and we that) and he asked 'who is we' and I just beamed and he started to cry. Before we started phoning family, we went out and got a generic test from the store and confirmed it.

What I did different this cycle: RELAXED and forgot about it. To a fault, possibly, as I even stopped taking my vitamins, folic acid, etc and was drinking wine, eating cheese - I did everything wrong! I was even taking Reductil to try and lose weight before we started trying again in the fall. Of course I stopped that now and I think (hope) that the small amount I took during the 2ww won't cause any problems.

Symptoms: Thirst (but it's been hot so I thought it was because of that), fatigue, mild PMS style cramps, PMS style mood swings, PMS style sore breasts, PMS style pimples on my face... I really could have sworn AF was on her way. The only non-PMS thing I've noticed is I have been very sensitive to the smell of urine (yuk I know) for the past week and half (so from about CD 19/5DPO).

Just goes to show, ladies, that there is ALWAYS hope. My advice is try to take a month 'off' and see what happens! Worked for us!!!

Best wishes to you all!
