Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
BFP with spotting and hardly any symptoms
Hi Everyone, I can't believe I am posting here! I have been reading this forum for over a year and I hope my experience can help others. So here is a little background first. In 2015 my husband and I decided to start TTC and we got our BFP 14 days later. My HCG was 500 with my first pregnancy. I was blown away it happened so fast. I never really had to experience the TWW. I kinda guess I was pregnant, however, because I had intense symptoms starting at 3 DPO. I even had spotting where I thought I was starting to get AF. We had a beautiful, healthy boy 9 months later. Fast forward to DS 1st Birthday. We started NTNP but I was tracking my BBT anyways. After 3 months and not getting a BFP I added OPK strips to the equation. I started noticing it looked like I wasn't ovulating every month and the OPK NEVER turned positive. Last month my OB started me on Metformin for high blood sugars and lack of weight loss. I also decided to spend the $60 and buy the Clear Blue Advanced Digital ovulation kit. I tracked starting on CD 9 (I was not going to miss this egg dammit!) I finally got a peak on CD 17 and was so excited! We of course BD regularly, mostly because I can't keep my hands off of DH. Then on CD 18 my BBT stayed flat. I tracked it for the next couple of days and all it did was drop. It didn't show any indication of O. I was devastated and pissed off. I said screw this and stopped charting my cycle. I made a myself a deal and said that I would go see my OB/GYN on Mon (4/10/17) since that's when FF says AF is due and see if I can start Clomid. I ended up spotting Sunday (4/10/17) and figured "good thing I have an appointment, f@#king AF". But it was brown mixed with EWCM. Didn't think much of it and then the next day I had some pink spotting only when I wiped, but figured AF was taking her time showing up. Then it stopped. I'm a POSA so I of course peed on HPT that came with my OPKs and it was a BFN. Went to work on Tuesday with all my supplies fully expecting war to come, and...nothing. I thought what the hell is going on! When i went to the bathroom I had loads of EWCM and then my curiosity was peaked. That night I decided to take another test, but not the piece of crap strip one, but all I had was Clear Blue Digital and heard that those aren't always the most sensitive. What the hell, right? What's one more test in my small fortune spent? At least I will take it and it will come back with "Not Pregnant" and I will wait for AF to come with a vengeance. I took it and went back to making dinner and playing around with the family. I almost forgot I used one so I went back after probably 20 minutes and there is was, my BFP!! I was shocked! I wasn't expecting it at this point because I don't "feel" pregnant. I mean I was nauseous but I thought that was because of the Metformin, and I'm tired but when am I not? Showed DH and he laughed! He was like, "I have super sperm!! Even when you don't ovulate I get you pregnant!" Yeah babe, that's how it works ;) You can pee far and are the alpha. (I'll stroke his ego sometimes) We are beyond thrilled to be adding another member to our family. Okay, what you have been waiting for: O day (i'm assuming this day is CD since it was never confirmed by BBT)- Horrible acne outbreak, cramps, and bloated 1 DPO- Tingly nipples 2 DPO- Uterus was achy and felt heavy 3 DPO- Nothing 4 DPO- Nothing 5 DPO- Nothing 6 DPO- Tingly nipples, acne, heavy/full breasts, backache 7 DPO to 12 DPO- Absolutely nothing except on 12 DPO I was emotional and cried because I thought I wasn't pregnant. BFN 13 DPO- EWCM and BFP! Only tired no other symptoms. HCG was 109 and progesterone was 11.9 14 DPO- Nipples finally began to tingle and breast feel like they are getting larger. and that's it. Had a little tinge of spotting mixed with cm but nothing sense. Going to get another Beta HCG drawn today. Hope this one is sticky! Thanks for reading my long, mostly boring post, but I hope it helps others out there. Baby dust to all! Good luck lovelies!
