Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
Felt basically the same as all the BFN months!
Hello! I am so overjoyed to be posting my BFP story! I hope everyone reading this gets one soon as I know it can be very stressful! These stories gave me some hope so I hope it does the same for you :) Background: I went on BC pills at age 14 after only having maybe 5 periods and when I started BC my periods stopped. Flash forward 15 years and I am 29 marrying the love of my life and we are both super excited to be parents. I went off birth control and two months later my period returned but it was super light. I was very worried. 1st month we had a chemical pregnancy. Then nothing for month two, three and four. My periods were still very light and we were not getting a BFP despite the fact I was trying everything I could think of. Things I tried: I was taking Vitamin B, Vitamin E, Evening Primrose Oil first two weeks then Flax Oil, and Prenatal vitamins. I also cut back substantially on exercise (I'm a distance runner). I drank lots of red raspberry tea and I didn't drink or eat anything that was cold. I used a hot water bottle on abdomen and was always heating my feet (I have Reynaud's disorder). I started weekly acupuncture after three months of trying. I cut out spicy food (as recommended by my accupunturest). I also used softcups (month two and three), used preseed (month three, four and five) and also started temping (month 5). My DH and I also cut out alcohol and coffee when we started ttc in January. After three month's of ttc I started to get really depressed. I made a huge mistake telling my friends and family that we were ttc. Then everyone was always asking me are you pregnant yet? Which was a dagger to my hart because I wanted it so badly and was trying so hard. Then when I would say no, they would often launch into all the stories of people they know who got pregnant right away. This made me feel so down I totally stopped seeing all my friends and family. Then my cousin told me to just tell everyone we are taking time off ttc right now, so I did and bam BFP. Symptoms: Ovulation day: No fertile CM (normal for me) 1-6dpo: A fair amount less CM then usual. 7dpo: Lots of watery CM, light cramping and soar back (normal pre-period symptoms for me). Gums bled when brushing teeth (never happens). 8 dpo: Major dip in my bbt but I have never done this before, so I thought I just did it wrong. 9-10 dpo: Soar boobs, light cramping and a bit moody (all pre-period symptoms) I told my DH that we are out this month and that we should start drinking again during week 1 and 2 of each cycle. He agreed! 11 dpo: Decided I wanted to drink this weekend so I took a FRER and OMG!!!!!! Is that a second line??? My poor DH was in the other bathroom and I was banging on the door crying saying I think it's positive!!! Come look! It was positive and the line has been getting darker everyday :) Things I did that I think helped: - I removed a lot of stress this month but saying I wasn't ttc anymore to friends and family. - I continued with accupuncure and listened to her health recommendations. -DH and I started having Kale and coconut shakes every morning. -DH and I started drinking two tbs of apple cider vinegar mixed with hot water, honey and cinnamon each night. -Consistently used Preseed. -This was the first month we tried Sperm Meets Egg Plan. - Using digital ovulation tests.
