Are you doing ivf? You could not possibly know there's a fertilized egg otherwise.

No ivf. And you are right, there is no way of knowing the egg is fertilized (except going by symptoms). I don't suffer with PMS, i typically have no warning before my period. To have the list of symptoms I have experienced the last 10 days is simply a red flag, something is different...I will wait 2 more days and test.

There are no symptoms when an egg is fertilized. Only after implantation can there possibly be symptoms.

haha...but oooohhhh are you ever wrong. Read up more. Let me know what you think after you do your homwork. The symptoms thousands of women experience prior to implantation are not hcg based but rather progesterone as the zygote sends signal to uterus...I could go on...
Cheers.

Sorry dear but you are wrong. Try doing your homework. The progesyerobe is produced by OVULATION. It's sad that someone your age doesn't know how your body works.

Anon is right. Look it up.

OF course progesterone is produced by ovulation, but it is NOT the only time. There are very few, if any, pregnancy symptoms before implantation, since the embryo has not begun to make hcg. However, your body does not continue *as normal*, or with business as usual. After hatching from the zona pellucida, the embryo sends a signal to the ovaries to secrete early pregnancy factor (EPF), which occurs from 1-2 days after fertilization. This EPF begins a dialogue between the embryo and the mother. It is possible, therefore, that a woman who is very sensitive, or is accutely aware of things, may have some symptoms associated with the EPF secretion.

It is the changes in hormone levels within your body that cause early signs of pregnancy (nausea, tender/swollen breasts, heightened sense of smell, cramping/bloating, etc). It is all completely caused by your body adjusting to changes in hormone--changes that your body *must* make in order to support a baby.

Until an embryo implants in your uterine lining, your body carries on business as usual with it's regular hormonal cycle. Once an embryo burrows into the uterine lining, that is when your body figures out that there is a baby there to support and starts altering it's hormone productions. But that's honestly the first trigger. It's not when a sperm meets an egg, but when that egg "connects" with your body.

There is ZERO evidence that EPF produces pregnancy symptoms. It is long known that a rise in progesterone that's occurs after ovulation is the cause of mid cycle symptoms (sore breasts, nausea, cramps etc). You are really doing yourself a disservice to believe that these symptoms mean you have a fertilized egg that has not implanted. Its just not the case. Women who say they are just more in tune with their bodies are in denial. There are zero pregnancy symptoms before implantation. No CREDIBLE source will claim otherwise.

First 2 times i got pregnant, zero symptoms. None. Until missed AF. I probably would have dismissed anyone else claiming they "feel something".
The last 2 times, DOWNPOUR of symptoms, enough to make me go see my doc the next morning to make sure my hormones line up and that there wasn't something REALLY wrong with my body. This was not normal for me. I am active and never stay still and the nausea and initial fatigue halted my life. So, for someone who has NO symptoms during a normal cycle (not even sore bb!) to go from zero to THIS, it's possible.. and it's happening ...and it's real...and it is simply irrelevant if, as you say, THERE IS NO PROOF. It is infinetly easier to go through the 2WW without symptoms. My daily (mild) cramps and nausea are a constant reminder that i "might" be pregnant and honestly it's torture, given the choice, I would chose to be symptomless until missed AF and officially pregnant. Does more research need to go into this? Absolutely. Someone needs to get to the bottom of this and find out the exact reason so many of us feel like crap from day 2, before the HPT is (+).
It is also not importan to me that you or anyone else (who has not actually experienced this) believes. I am simply writing this for those of you who have early syptoms. You are normal. Period.
As far as "anonymous". Carry on in ignorance with tiny blinders on. Seems to be working for you.

ohh..one small detail....DPO11, BFP + at 6am today!!!!!! Hmmm....how 'bout that.

Nothing you said makes any sense. I bet you're not pregnant either.

I had a miscarraige last summer and definately felt different directly after ovulation. I don't care what the science and research says, I knew it was different. Bloating, abdominal tugging, nausea, sensitivity to smells, hot flashes, bb tenderness. I thought I was going crazy because there's no way you have symptoms that early, but I did. I could definately tell something was different from week 1. I think sometimes your body just knows something has changed.

Ovulations symptoms. Yes ovulation symptoms are very normal.

Sry for your miscarriage; symptoms you described are less common prior to implantation but they are real nontheless. Been there.

They're actually very common. They're from ovulation.

Anonymous, why are you picking on such a small scientific detail?

To the OP, congrats on your BFP!  You are certainly a fertile Myrtle!!

You seem to have missed it. OP is NOT pregnant. And she's delusional.

Tri hippie is SUCH A LIAR. She's posted all over the ttc forum that she is NOT pregnant. What a joke.

CP # 2. Ladies...such negativity out there...chill.

Tri hippie why are you lying?? I see through your bull. You were never pregnant. You posted it. Stop being a drama queen. You ARE NOT having chemical pregnancies bc you're having "symptoms." You are having ovulation and pms symptoms. Time for you to grow up and face reality. You're WAY too old to tell such lies.
