Pregnant At 44 Naturally

Hi there I am here to give hope to women who are 40+ years old and wanting to be pregnant. I had my first pregnancy at 40 and now have a wonderful 4 year old son. This time I was not trying to get pregnant (mostly because I figured I never would get pregnant) but was also open to it if it happened.

I did use Pre-Seed because I had it and wanted lubrication. My husband and I had unprotected sex twice this cycle (CD 11 and 12) and WHAM BFP at 8dpo (very very faint...had to squint to see it) and a stronger FRER BFP 10DPO

Not too many symptoms. Have felt really good, actually....just twinges, a tiny bit of cramping and that's it! I know it is still really early and anything is possible but I will remain cautiously optimistic. I just want women out there to know you CAN get pregnant in your 40's naturally!! It is possible!

Congratulations on your BFP!  I am so glad you added your story to the site.  We women that are 40 plus need all the encouragement we can get for getting pregnant naturally at 40.  I'm 40 and five months now and wish this year would slow down.  I am so hopeful I will get pregnant again.  (I miscarried when I was 39.)  Best wishes and thank you so much for sharing your story and your age!

thanks so much. i a sorry for your loss at 39. i, too, lost my first pregnancy at 39 after 8 weeks and then the following month was pregnant (a couple of months before turning 40). gave birth at 40 1/2.  this time we were not trying so it is a TOTAL shock...but i am proof it can happen! i did use pre-seed each time i became pregnant so i am a believer in that. try it if you have not already! and please....good good luck to you. i will be sending positive energy your way so that your BFP comes ASAP! thanks for writing and take care!

hi

please I read your real accounts of a bfp being an older mama I first conceived a couple weeks post 39th birthday unfortunetly had a missed misscarraige 11 weeks awful was worse than when diagnosed with breast cancer

 

then was blessed with a daughter who we conceived 10 months from the dnc

now trying for a brother or sister age 43 I've clear cm but not stretchy? dtd cd 13 14 periods are pretty regular 27 to 29 days would love baby no 2 or three

I have period cramping early every month just a few days post ovulation which seems to go on for the entire 2ww annoyingly hence its hard to tel whether the cramps are af or pregnancy related

had awful diarhhea today 3dpo could be a sign but don't want to read into it felt achy pains in uterus too but that could be period related

thanks for your reply!! i so understan the stress of all this. you must keep the faith! i was in total shock that i fell pregnant so quickly as we were not trying. maybe that was part of the luck...that my mind was not really focusing on it. i DO swear by pre-seed, as the 3 times i have been pregnant (first was early MC at 8 weeks, blighted ovum...and then pregnant again next month with my 4 year old), i used it and did so this time. i am 44 1/2. if this thing lasts, i will be 45 when i becoming a mom again! it is crazy but i firmly believe that if you conceived your first baby at almost 40 then a few years is not going to take away your fertility! you have it in you!!! i also used vitex the last two months only because my cycles had suddenly gotten crazy. like one was 15 days long and the next 35! with vitex it suddenly went back to 26 days and boom, i was pregnant. so i totally recommend that if your PMS is bad. i had those cramps also right after ovulation but when i started the vitex they went away. i stopped the vitex as soon as i got bfp. the lines are getting darker (i am only 14dpo...my period was due two days ago)....and i know i could have another MC but trying to remain positive. i won't see a doctor for two more weeks. i hope you get your bfp really soon! we old ladies CAN DO THIS!!!!! ha ha.  take care!!!!!!

Yes, it is very possible to get pregnant at 44. It is 8 weeks since my LMP and so surprised to find I was pregnant without any effort and hardly any sex!!!
SO please odler wanna be mums do not give up hope if this is what you are wanting! :)

Here's my story: first baby 39 girl HEALTHY and Beautiful, baby 2 at 42 Healthy Beautiful Boy, 44 one more? We shall see, it is God who opens and closes the womb, pray for the desires of your heart, and don't read statistics cause I just read I was 90 percent less likely to have a baby in my 40's huh, I am glad they are not my God:) Blessings Ladys!!!!!!

Just got a BFP at 14dpo. A bit of a surprise, have only recently realized I want a 2nd child. DH has been trying to persuade me for 2 years. I had 2 chemical pregnancies almost back to back and this time it worked (sex only once a month!). So my point is its certainly possible!

I did confirm my egg quantity with a home FSH test first, and have very regular periods (only 23 day cycles!!)

I can always tell when I ovulate, I feel a cramp on one side at day 11-12 and get cm.

Tuesday I will see a Dr for a blood test, probably one 48 hours later to check hcg levels doubling. Cautiously optimistic but ive had one m/c before, so I know that sac can be empty.

Glad to know I won't be the only other old mommy!
