Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives

Pregnant naturally after failed IVF at 39 yrs old

Hello everyone. Finally got my BFP!! Diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We have been trying 2.5 years which included 7 cycles of Femara (one miscarriage), 3 failed IUIs, 2 failed IVFs all costing well over $25,000 total...and we got pregnant naturally this cycle! I am 39 years old, baby will be due after I turn 40.

What I did different:
1. Quit my stressful job.
2. Added maca root everyday and evening primrose oil from CD 1 to ovulation. This really increased my fertile cervical mucous.
3. Did yoga everyday and tried to remain stress-free and positive.
My diet stayed the same, but wanted to mention no sugar and relatively healthy with a lot of vegetables, healthy fats and lean meats. Water only to drink besides a cup of coffee in the morning.

Ovulated CD 14 (positive opk on CD 13). We BD'd CD 12, 13, 14, 15
Everything felt different, like I had a very strong ovulation with high progesterone.

1 dpo - 8 dpo: SOOOOO hungry! I ate way more than normal. Constipated, tired, greasy hair, some acid reflux, slight bloody nose a few days, bloated
9 dpo - diarrhea, temporarily nauseous in the p.m., no more appetite (which is still the case), slight insomnia
10 dpo - tested - BFN. Tired, severe hot flash that lasted 10 minutes. Also, my boobs don't hurt at all (which on normal cycles they do since I have fibro-cystic breasts), slight insomnia.
11 dpo - tested - BFP - faint line on a FRER (6 days sooner kind)! Still tired, slight insomnia, no appetite, boobs do not hurt, slight cramping (felt more like pressure), bloating
12 dpo - line is darker, definitely a BFP, same symptoms as 11 dpo, took a 1.5 hour nap which I never do, my resting heart rate on fitbit is slowly increasing, 5 minute hot flash in the afternoon.

Hope this bean sticks!! Goodluck ladies!

I am happy to know that you have succeeded in your journey. Congratulations. You had a lot that happened during the journey. You didn't give up all. I am sorry to know you had failed IVF too. This is saddening. Most clinics except a few cases such as Bi otex C om and several others have no experiences in handling IVF. They fail to give a 100% guarantee on the process. IVF should be handled by experts. You should avoid a clinic with no reviews at all. This is a way of knowing that you are attending a clinic with successful stories. I understand that sugar is very detrimental and stress too. The process of conceiving is a bit serious especially at your age of 39. But see the tactics used in achieving success? You are a genius. You will encourage most other women in ttc. I am so glad. Congratulations all will be well till the end
