Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Big Fat Positives
Pregnant - Scared to do Test
Good Day All Cannot believe I can finally post something here. My husband and I have been trying on and off for over a year now. We got to the point where my husband got tested and it was found his swimmers were not particularly good. At this point we decided to just give up for a while as we really didn't think we stood a chance and after taking so many tests and getting disappointed each month we both had had enough! So we went out and brought a new car and life was good. We returned to the doctors for another set of results and it appears my husbands swimmers were now amazing, turned out he had been a bit ill in the weeks leading up to the first test and this can really affect the outcome. It was now I thought it must be me, so we booked in to a fertility clinic for the following week. The weekend before our appointment I kept feeling a little off, and I kind of knew something was wrong. Whilst my husband was at work I thought right I am taking a test (the only one I had left - a CB digital). I took it and to my surprise it came up pregnant almost instantly then 3+ weeks. I was in shock and couldn't stop jumping and crying around the house. When my husband got home he was also in shock. The only symptoms I had was tiredness, slight dizziness and feeling a little tired. Other than that my breasts weren't particularly sore or anything. I went for blood on the Monday results came in and my HCG was 18000. I then went for a dating scan a couple of weeks later as I had no idea when my last period had been since I hadn't been checking. Turns out I was only 6 weeks so my HCG was very high. I returned to the doctors and he retested blood and my HCG was 335000 around the 7 week mark. As it was so high I had another scan at 8 weeks as they wanted to check for molar pregnancy or twins! Luckily all was ok and there was only one! I am just over 10 weeks now and cannot wait to get to the 12 weeks mark and have the next scan. I have been quite ill in the meantime, breasts have become very sore on and off, I have had terrible nausea and have been sick several times (although that is slowly subsiding and I am getting my appetite back.). I have also just been very very tired, and general aches and pains. No one warns you of the pains in the back, legs, hips!!! I do not mind though, we are just so happy to finally have a little one on the way and only praying everything is ok for both bub and me. Just keep trying and if all else fails give up and then it may actually happen as you do not place any pressure on yourself! Also no one suspects as they all think you cannot have kids so stop asking!!! ;) Good luck ladies!
