You are not stupid for testing early.  I found out at 8 dpo and I tested starting at 5, lol:)  I am a true peeonastickaholic!  Don't be discouraged either.  I thought my first bfp was an evap line.  I hope that you get a bfp soon!  Please keep me posted.
