| ABOUT ME |
Well, I'm 29 Years old and have been married to my
wonderfully patient and loving husband for 2 1/2
years. We started TTC about 2 years ago when this
past October we decided there might be something
wrong with one of us. I went to my OB/GYN in
October and she did the basic infertility work-up
on me and my husband. Everything seemed to be okay
but she wanted to put me on clomid b/c she didn't
think I was ovulating. In the meantime we weren't
able to do the HSG test that month due to the
holidays so that was postponed until
december/early January. So I did my first cycle of
Clomid in early December and had all the symptoms
of pregnancy only to get several BFN's. So I
started my second cycle of Clomid but had my
HSG(not fun at all!!!) Test done only to find that
BOTH of my Fallopian tubes were blocked. :(
I have never felt so distraught over something in
my entire life! My doctor immediatley scheduled me
for a laparscopy for two weeks later. In that two
weeks I did nothing but research tubal factor
infertility and the many causes for it. I had the
hardest time dealing with the unknown and the
why's. I tried to remain optimistic during the two
week wait till surgery. (my husband was very
helpful during this waiting period.)At my pre-opp
Appt. my doctor made it very clear to me that the
chances of her being able to do anything were
extremely minimal and that our best bet was IVF. I
was so crushed when I heard this,But still knowing
that my husband and I had atleast one other option
when some couples are out of options. I had my
surgery on January 29, 2008 and my doctor found
that I had a cyst that had burst and formed a
blood clot in one tube and that I had a kink in my
other tube!!! How crazy is that! She said she had
never seen anything like it before(the kinked
one!) She was able, after alot of persistence
during surgery, to get both of my tunes
unblocked!!!!! I have never been so relieved in my
life!!! She was just as suprised as my husband and
I were! She told us that the next 2-3 months were
our best bets for conceiving a child!!! So try we
will!!!! I know that it was mostly prayers that
helped us!!! Thank you for watching over us Lord!
UPDATE 4/25/08 Well my husband and I tried for the
last three months naturally with no luck :( I am
just starting my fourth cycle since my surgery and
this month I am going to start Clomid. I took
Clomid twice but that was before I found out about
the tubal blockage. So I am really praying that
this will be the month!!!!
