My favorite things include spending time outdoors, spending time with my husband and having the company of our four legged 'babies': Cole, Conner, Kayleigh, Kassidy, Kaci & Maytag.

I don't know if I would consider these things to be "hobbies", but things I enjoy doing include: hiking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, reading and sometimes mountain biking.

Music I enjoy listening to are Oldies (50's & 60's), Classic Rock, Zydeco and Country.

I’m happily married to the love of my life since 1998. I knew when we married that he had a vasectomy, but at the time, it didn’t matter to me. I felt that with my active outdoor lifestyle that a child would hinder that. About five years later, the ‘baby bug’ bit me. It wasn’t for two years after that, that we were able to afford a vasectomy reversal. We’ve been trying to conceive, with no success, for three years this month (July 2008). In March 2008, the RE gave me a round of 50 mg Clomid and I got a BFP but it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. Hubby has had two semen analyses, both of which indicate low sperm count, 4% motility and only 2% morphology. Needless to say, our chances are slim to none. The RE says that our only chance would be IVF. The vas/rev broke the bank, so we cannot afford anything else. I have decided that my 44th birthday in December is the end of the line for me. Hubby’s 30 year old daughter told me a few years ago that someday SHE would be a mom and I never would, which is why I would always have to adopt dogs. The pain her words caused me are indescribable, along with the fact that hubby did not say anything to her about the comment because he didn’t want to alienate himself from her. I’m over the anger of her comment, but never the pain it caused. I’m beginning to think she was right. SHE has a 3 year old son and and a new baby on the way and all I have are two DOGS.
