My name is Amy. I have a husband named Todd. We were married on August 4th 2007. We are trying to conceive our first child. Our journey began on september 3rd 2008. It was our first infertility apppointment. I have done a lot of research and I believe I have a pituitary problem. The doctor took blood to send to the labs. I am morbidly obese. I have a BMI of 53. I know that weight is a huge factor in becoming pregnant, but I think there is more to my situtation than that. I have not always been over weight. It started in 2nd grade after my parents got divorced. My doctor did do an ultrasound of my ovaries and uterus, there seems to be no signs of PCOS. I do not ovulate on my own. When I was 16 my mom took me to the gyno for the first time because I had not started my period. They put me on a drug called Microestrogen. I then started to have periods once a month. Now 8 years later I want to concieve. I stopped the pills in January of 2008 and have not had a period since. My doctor gave me a drug called Prometrium. I take 2 capsules at bedtime for 10 days. On the frist day I start bleeding I am to call the doctor. Then I am to start taking Clomid. We will see what happens then. I have heard back from the doctor about my blood tests. My pituitary gland is ok. My thyroid gland on the other hand is not. I will start replacement therapy as soon as I can afford the medicine. It is waiting at the pharmicists. Hopefully I can get it this weekend. Please pray for me and my husband. We are going through hard times. I am not working, we have no money, and we had to put our 1 1/2 year old cat to sleep on the 9th. She died unexpectedly from an unknown illness. Thank you for any and all support.
