Title: I got some bad news today

Blog Entry: I just recieved a call from the genetic counselor at the lab. On Monday I did the first blood draw and ultrasound for my sequential scan. I am 38 so I started with a 1 in 66 chance of having a downs baby. After reading my blood work they have increased my chance to 1 in 15. This is like getting kicked in the stomach after finally getting this far after four miscarriages.-----------------------------------------------------------I know it is not saying my baby def. has downs, but it doesn't look good. My husband and I have to go to genetic counseling next week to learn more and get our options.---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The guy who called me try to reassure me that this also meant we had a 14 out of 15 chance that all would be fine, but I only hear the bad part!!
Does anyone have any experience with this? I am totally freaking out!
