Title: Many Thanks w/ an Update
Category: happy
Blog Entry: Thanks to all of you who have posted such warm messages the past few days. Your words are encouraging and it is wonderful to celebrate with others (since I'm not telling everyone quite yet). I look forward to continuing this journey with such supportive new friends. The cramping is almost gone completely now, and the spotting must have been implantation bleeding b/c it's been gone for two days. I'm so glad that I tested using a digital HPT! On Sunday I tested again (couldn't resist - and wanted to build my own collection!) and the line was so faint that if I didn't already have the BFP, then I would be guessing for sure! I highly recommend that to anyone who is waiting for a result - if you can hold off until the day AF is due, but doesn't show, then use a digital if you can afford to do that. Of course, now I have a supply of HPTs and I'll probably wait a few days to test again - gonna give those hormones time to multiply! - and then again, maybe I won't unless I get cramping or spotting again. However, I've got the hypersensitive olfactory system alright! And that isn't exactly pleasant when working with teens! I can even identify their shampoo brands and whether or not their deodorant is working - and that's from a distance! Thank goodness none of this has made me even a little bit queasy...yet. My sister was a bit miffed b/c she was already closely attached to her toilet by this time (yes, she had it bad with both pregnancies, as did my mother with her three). I know that it can still happen, but for now I'm feeling quite good except for a slight headache that develops in the evenings. I'm also very WARM! Although my temp dropped a bit this morning (but still above my "normal" temps), I've been so warm that I've been wearing my hair up and T-shirts and I've been opening windows even on cloudy days. I went swimming today, and the heater was acting up in the pool, so it was cooler than normal, and I am finally at a comfortable temperature. whew! I'll be a wreck if the thermometer soars this weekend, like it's supposed to do. TOO MUCH INFORMATION ALERT: My breasts are definitely swollen...if they haven't already started to grow! I have been an H-cup for the past 6 years or so, and I have stretch marks from when I was ten and my breasts grew so fast that there were scars. However, I had started to lose a bit from swimming, and that is all back and then some! I can't wear my favourite bra because I'm spilling out! Thank goodness I have a really good bra that still fits well (it had a bit more room and a different cut) and there is plenty of room on the band. However, I'm hoping that they don't grow too much bigger! I hope that you enjoy the rest of your week. It's a long weekend in BC, and I don't have any plans - yet. Usually this weekend is spent gardening, but the weather hasn't been cooperating, so it's too cool to put out pots and bedding plants - that will have to wait a few weeks. If gas prices weren't so high I'd be off to Kimberley to visit my best friend; I'll find something to do, I'm sure!
