Blog Entry: Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} It was time to get a new bra.   These breasts of mine grew considerably at about six weeks, but I've been putting of the inevitable shopping excursion because I wanted to see if they would get bigger still!   However, I couldn't squeeze myself into any of my bathing suits - not even the expensive brand new ones from Hawaii that I bought at Christmas - and I felt like I was flashing too much skin at the beach this past week.   My parents live on a lake - a busy lake - and I didn't want to embarrass myself or my family...it was TIME for a shopping trip.   I know the importance of a good bra fitting - I've been well endowed since the age of 10 - and so my mother and I headed into the best lingerie boutique in the Lower Mainland:   Forever Yours in Langley.   Ladies, if you're BC women, it's worth the trip!   Diane and Jessica were extremely helpful.   Of course, this meant that at one point there were four of us in my change room as straps were adjusted and room (or lack there of) was assessed - a proper bra fitting does not allow for shyness!   I was pleased to know that I haven't increased too much in band size.   However, my "I" cups (yes, you read that correctly) were now solid "J" cups.   I had suspected as much, but it's still disconcerting to see that size!   Then Diane (the owner/manager) gave me some wonderful advice, and this isn't anything I've seen on any of the pregnancy or mother discussion boards.   She told me that as my uterus grew with the baby, my rib cage would also expand.   This will obviously mean that I will need a larger bra soon.   And, as my pregnancy progresses, my breasts will begin to change shape as well as size.   So, on her advice, I got a bra that was an entire size larger.   I have room to grow and PLENTY of support!   I checked, and they carry nursing bras in these larger sizes (all the way to "L" cups) and even have a style that has adjustable cup sizes for before feeding and after feeding.   I'll get fitted for that bra in January.     The next issue was bathing suits.   I eventually found one suit (bought two of them) at a store called Wishes in White Rock.   The store claims to carry bathing suits from size 3 to 48, but they had only 5 styles in my size (a 26 to allow for those humongous boobs!) and nothing larger.   The suits I purchased will last for the next few weeks - at least I'm "decent" again - but now that I know my NEW bra size, I'll go shopping online.     Ladies, my advice to you is to get a good bra fitting.   Find a reputable shop with a solid reputation - the fitting is free!   Of course, if you're above a D-cup, the bras themselves become pricey, but I'm used to that after two decades!   LOL!
