Title: smoking and infertility
Category: tired
Blog Entry: Ok i have been reading blogs talking about quitting smoking recently... maybe that's the problem? They say that smoking affects a certain fluid that makes healthy follicles- maybe that's the problem? Maybe it's taking us so long because the follies should be healthy again? I just thought about this yesterday because I haven't conceived in the 4 yrs i was with my first partner- i never quit smoking in those years, not even for a month- so that may be the reason. I quit in mid march 08 (i have one occassionally in secret)   so I'm guessing if by the end of November I don't get pregnant, then there surely is a problem? Some say after they quit smoking by 6 months they were able to get pregnant, some say a year, some say its different depending on how much you smoked. I smoked for 7 years, about half a pack a day towards my quit it was almost a pack a day... so i guess maybe that's why I'm infertile.   Any thoughts?
