Title: niece born with spina bifida
Category: other
Blog Entry: so i've been gone awhile...my niece was born august 26th with spina bifida. the news came to us a few weeks prior to her birth. i've been horribly sad and worried about my sister and the baby...on top of spina bifida and being paralyzed from the waste down, the doctors believe Lily is blind. however....we had hundreds of people praying for her and suddently, on the 4th of September, Lily moved her little legs for the first time. They had performed surgery on her little back and had put a shunt in her head to drain the spinal fluid that was building up on her brain and the very day they were going to put casts on her legs (her knees were dislocated and she has club feet-but it's all fixable), she suddenly bent them (backwards) and spread them out a little. i'm telling you, it's literally a miracle from God. my faith has been tested these past few years, but i'm telling you, God is good . i won't attempt to describe the joy we felt. we gave a new meaning to laughing and crying at the same time.  so Lily is home now and doing great. her eye test ended up in-conclusive, so we're praying for our second miracle . send up a few prayers if you will -the more the better!!! So my ttc journey was put on hold. not really- i mean we still did the iui and everything, but i didn't chart or temp and i didn't pay attention to a thing for the most part. my whole focus was on my sister and the baby. i'm going to write a separate blog for that so i can get some answers with a different blog title. thanks for your comments while i was away.
