To all my girls and supporters that I miss,
I've been on a hiatus as you know. I know I
dropped off the map quietly and apologize for not
being so vocal. I was in a very bad place-
exhausted from ttc and mentally drained from that
and life in general. It was killing me from the
inside out.
My family has been through a lot in since my
absesence. John and I were married and as we
exchanged vows, my Aunt was taken off life
support. She died at the age of 57 from
complications of her mental illness.
My sister's are losing their home to forclosure,
finally. This will mean my household will get
bigger, but the details at this moment are up in
the air.
John as been dealing with health issue after
health issue. This week, he is having testing done
on his heart. If all turns out well, he will be
getting the Lap Band shortly there after.
I am having emergency-ish surgery to extract
impacted wisdom teeth that have killed and/or
cracked two molars on Monday (12/15/08). I was
sent for surgery by the ER, but since my jaw is
infected and swollen, the surgeon could not get my
mouth open in order to the do the surgery.
Matt (ds) is doing well in school and has become a
fluent reader, above grade level. He is thrilled
his parents are married and can't wait for a
sibling. He's doing much better behavior wise now
that his allergies are being treated. He also
wears glasses without resistance because he
realizes they help him to see and make life
easier.
I am working more and in cosmetics department 3
out of 4 days a week. I love that I get to make
displays for the department and hope to win some
the competitions for them in future. I also love
boosting our sales numbers with excellent customer
service. The only draw back is working nights and
weekends is hard when you are mom and newlywed.
Lastly, we found out that our insurance covers
fertility treatments, including IVFs and meds.
After the new year, we will be making an
appointment with a specialist. I will start
charting faithfully again in the new year. We are
looking into 2 different clinics at the moment.
2009 will be the year we get that baby!!
To all my girls, whom I miss and think of often,
thanks for being there in spirit and in my
computer this whole time. Congrats to those who
have their special little bundles and to those
excitedly waiting to meet the life they've created
out of love. I am so happy for all of you. For
those still waiting, know that there is a light at
the end of the tunnel, even if the tunnel seems
dark, winds in weird ways and lonely.
All my love,
Carrie
