I love your page Marti - I love winnie the pooh!!  Boy, Girl, I don't care they are having winnie the pooh - LOL!!   The dr's finally got in touch with me yesterday, I have to go see this new OBGYN, he is going to be the one doing the surgery, my other obgyn got fired, she was worthless to me, she didn't even want to do the surgery.  So I am gettting in next week to see him. The witch came Tues.  OMG, it was horrible, I almost had to have Dan take me o the ER b/c of the horrible pain I was in :( so Dr. wants to do this the 24th, but I am hoping we can do it sooner, if he doesn't assist in it, its no big deal to me, he has a lot of confidence in this dr. so we will see what he says.  He has put me on BC so I don't get a period and then I am going on Lupron for medapause right before the surgery since AF might be here by that time, we have to play it by ear.  How are things going with you??  Did you go in for the HSG???  Its not to bad!!  Let me know how your doing and I will keep you posted as well!!!  My thoughts and prayers are with you!!  BTW where did you get this background??  I have no idea where to find them??  ~BIG hugs  - Jenn

It's nice to meet you Marti.  Yes, I went thru the same testing, HSG and the 3rd and 21st days of my cycle blood tests.  Everything was fine, except the doc (a hospital doc that had no clue how to perform a HSG exam) got the dye thru the right side fine and the left he said was blocked and was afraid to damage the tube so he didn't clear it.  My doc said that it's impossible to be blocked in that area and he should have pushed it thru, but I have one good tube so he was fine with that.  BUT I am still not preggo.  So next week ill be IUI #3, hoping 3rd time is the charm.  My doc is confident that it will happen, atleast he is, lol.    

 Dontbe nervous about the HSG, the most it was for me was as uncomfortable as a pap smear.  I cramped a bit, but AF type cramps.  My BF though was so afraid of cramping she popped advil (they say not to do that, but she got pregno so I dont think it's that bad.  I handle pain pretty well but if you are worried, ask your doc if you can take advil or something.  You'll be fine.  Lemme know how it went.....

Some people get really bad cramping during an HSG and that is the worst of it. You will be awake and they show you the insides, your tubes and everything. For me, it was not bad at all. They make you get someone to drive you home, but I was fine and could have driven. I was a little crampy, but similar to just like having AF. Some people think it is really painful. And I had a blocked tube, too. That hurt as they pushed the dye through, but nothing that brought me to tears or anything, just a little uncomfortable. I think it is a simple procedure, but it may be hindsight in all the other testing I have been through now. I hope it is as easy for you as it was for me. Pleas let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck! Hopefully everything will look just fine! A lot of women get pg after an HSG. The dye they use helps to catch onto the egg!! My SIL and my BF got pg after theirs. I did, too but I m/c having nothing to do with the test being done! Hopefully that will be all you need!!!

Thanks so much. It went well. I won't get the results back for a week so. Hopefully I can just cross it off the list of questionable problems!! How are you doing? Have you had any testing done? What is the next step for you?

Well, the dr. still hasn't called me to confirm everything with surgery - I am suppose to have it down the 3rd.  Crazy I tell you - I haven't requested off yet b/c I'm not going to till I hear something.  So, i don't know what to do.  AF is ready to come on Monday - I can start to feel it :( another painful month - I am dreading!!  What are you doing this month??  If you ever have any questions or anything just let me know  - I am starting to feel like a pro at this stuff LOL - hope you have a great weekend!!
