My name is Melissa. I'm 25 and a newlywed. My husband and I are expecting our first child on May 9th. I joined this site after three months of agonizing during each two week wait. I was starting to give up...yes, even after only three months. I even had an hystertical crying meltdown after a BFN and told my husband that something was wrong (he works in a hot swimming pool all day, I was just sure it was affecting us) and that I wanted to give up. It turns out that ovulated late and was actually implanting about that time. A week later I was pretty sure I wasn't pregnant. I didn't have many symptoms except for sore boobs and fatigue, and the first symptom is pretty normal for me with PMS. I took a test and walked away from it, because I was SO SURE it was negative. My husband sat in front of me with two strong lines. I was in shock. Thrilled, but in shock. We took two more tests after that and all was +++. So far we've had our first ultrasound and have heard and seen the baby's heartbeat. I have had terrible morning sickness, especially from week 8-10. I am so excited to show and to feel the baby move. We will also find out the gender in December. We're both pretty sure it's a boy but I'll be happy either way!
