I'm 33 years old, I live in lovely Pennsylvania.
My name is Missy and DH is Tom, we have been
trying to have a baby since October 2005. Most
recently I was diagnosed with multi cysting
ovaries and anovulation. I had laparoscopy in 2000
and was subsequently diagnosed with endometriosis.
I have tried Clomid with no success and have now
moved on to IVF. 1st cycle resulted in BFP 3/3 but
only lasted a few weeks
Started BCP on 3/24, started Lupron on 4/7 and
them move on to Femtace. FET transfer 5/8. 6
embryo's thawed, only 3 made it. 2 are 4 cell and
2 are 2 cell. ***5/8 - transfer day, all 4 made it
through the night, 1 6 cell, 1 7 cell, 1 8
cell. They put all 3 back in me. ****UPDATE*** Beta
5/20, 13 days after transfer was 72. It got that
high last time but after a few more days then went
right back down. First beta last time was 35. Beta
5/23 was 374 YIPPEE ! Beta 5/27 was...... 3,764.
HOLY CRAP ?! 5/31 - had some spotting and
cramping, called the dr, they got me in, did
bloodwork and ultrasound. Beta was 15,191. I got
to see our little one ! Yes, just one, but it's
beautiful. I turned to mush. Dr said probably just
a pocket of old blood he saw on the ultrasound.
6/9/08 - saw the little bean and heartbeat today
heard it too. Amazing, 131 bpm and measuring
exactly on track, 7 weeks. He/she already has arm
and leg buds. Soon I can start to decrease the
estrogen and Progesterone shots (YAY!) 6/19/08 -
last appt with RE, measuring perfect 8 weeks, 3
days, 181bpm. We saw the spine and the arms and
legs and the little bugger even moved ! 6/25 - 1st
ob appt, I love my dr. Got another pic of the
gummi bear from the outside this time. Measuring
perfect 9w2d. Quad screen done 8/17 was negative.
Ultrasound 9/2, couldn't see much, the little turd
wasn't giving up the money shot. Although the tech
said that it is probably a girl because there were
absolutely no boy parts. She's breech right now so
they were trying to shoot up between her legs, all
we could see was the bottom of her tiny feet ! I'm
measuring a week ahead so that may make the due
date 1/18. Private ultrasound on 9/6 confirmed
we're having a girl. We're so excited ! She yawned
once and we caught her sucking on her fist! She
also kept putting her little hands under her chin.
OB appt 10/1 was great, I only gained 3.5 lbs. Saw
the little girl today, confirmed she is a she and
she's kind of big. Sounds like she'll be tall like
her Daddy. Passed the 3 hr glucose test. Most
recent ultrasound was 12/9. She had her face down
so we couldn't get a profile shot. Appointments
since then have been uneventful, just weekly thing
now. I've got my bags all packed and ready to go.
Appointment 1/22 same as the last. No dilation
yet, we're talking about setting a date for
induction. ***Well, big ole update ! Our little
miracle is finally here ! Lauren Margaret arrived
via C-section on January 28, 2009 at 11:58 am. She
weighed in at 9lb 13 oz. and 22.5 inches long. My
water broke early on 1/27 (1:45 am) and we headed
to the hospital. After all the pushing and trying,
and only getting to 8cm, my dr (the best) who knew
we were having a big baby anyway, decided it would
be better to do a c-section. She's just beautiful
and we're enjoying every second with her.
