Other then a newly broken or dislocated ankle (won't find out which for a week) and a rug burn from crawling through my house, i'm doing pretty good thanks

hi there i just read your post on my bulliten board. well i am taking vitex, red raspberry, soy on cd 3-7 and thats it the doctors in the uk wont refer me to a specialist until i have been ttc 1 year i recently just had some blood tests done
no, unfortunately a period can just be an overflow if you haven't had one in awhile. and just bc you have a period every month doesn't mean you're o'ing either because it's not uncommon to have annovulatory cycles for anyone, and especially us girls with PCOS. I started charting the same time I started the diet and found out i WAS o'ing (don't know if i was before then or not) and it was really exciting so I suggest it. and once you see you are clearly o'ing on a chart, i'd say use the OPKs too. even though they say "dont use if you have PCOS" on the box.....they worked for me! and that's definitely what helped us with our timing when we conceived! I WISH YOU SO MUCH LUCK and let me know how everything is going!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi! The low GI diet has mainly to do with what kind of carbs you're eating. Some carbs digest more quickly than others, causing a surge in your blood sugar, causing insulin resistance, and messed up insulin levels cause your other hormones to either produce too much or too little. I got a book by Jennie Brand-Miller on the Low GI diet revolution but there are many others. I also got some books on naturally controlling PCOS and your infertility. There are alot of theories that food is the deeper cause of PCOS. I also drank ALOT of water and started exercising about 6 days per week. All of that must have balanced my hormones enough to finally let me have a normal cycle and get pregnant, because I never made it to my RE appointment! I was sort of dizzy and miserable the first 3-4 days on the diet bc my body was used to having too much unnatural sugar, but after the initial changes wore off I'd never had so much energy in my life. Try getting a book on it or going to this site:

andyou can find lists of which foods are best/worst and how to balance your diet. It was honestly really simple. It's more of a lifetitle change than a diet, but it is so worth it. Right now, I don't have PCOS bc the only time you won't have it in your life is when you get pregnant, but as soon as the baby is born I'll be eating the same way again to avoid having to be on birth control or other meds to control symptoms. It really did work!!! Good luck! Ask me if you have more questions!
Not currently, well not that i know of Umm...I have gotten pregnant with all but one of my pregnancies by chance, no drugs, the other was clomid, but my 2 sucessful ones were both naturally concieved and monitered very closely
