Why hello there ladies. Thought I would update this as soooo much has went on since i joined. Me (23) and DF (28) ) we live together in the UK, , had 2 MCs and eventually had a baby girl born at 27 +4 gestation.
We are now pregnant with number two, and hoping for lil one to stay put for more than 6 months this time!!!

Hey, hun!!  Glad to hear that Alex is finally home.  I understand exactly what you mean when you say that things have been mad! lol  It's different having a baby home.  Very different than going to the NICU, but I love it.  I love to be able to love on Kali!!!  But she's still on her o2.  She goes on the 14th.  Her doc wants her to gain a little more weight before she takes her off of the o2.  I don't believe she needs its.  We have a pulse ox machine that checks the o2 in her blood and she's usually at 100%, except when she's upset (and this w/ out the o2 on).  So keep your fingers crossed about her coming off of the o2.  How is miss chubby cheeks doing?! She is such a doll.  TTYL!!

Hey lady!!!  I'm just checking on you and Alex. How are things?  Kali came home on Tuesday, the 15th and it's been crazy.  It's very, very different from going up the NICU and spending time and coming home.  At home it's all YOU!! :) No nurses.  She is doing fine.  Can you believe that she has to go the doctor ONCE A WEEK!!!  Yes, didn't expect that, but it's for her well being.

Today I plan on showing the doctor that delivered me Kali.  I have an OB appointment and I hope that she'll be there so I can show her my miracle baby.  She did come home on O2 and a apnea monitor.  But she is only on 1/2 a liter of O2, so hopefully wednesday the doc will say she only needs it for feeds.  Crossing fingers!!!

Hey!! Yes that is crazy that we have so much in common! :)

I have already began to want her off of her nasal cannula.  She's been on it for about 2wks now.  I have the date written down somewhere, but she is now on what they call pediflow.  So she is getting like the minimal of o2.  But they're slowing trying to wean her.  I just called a little while ago and she is maintaining her heat, so she is now in a bassinet and gets to wear clothes!!!  My sister had to go home with o2 for her little boy back in 2001.  I can't remember how he had it, but I remember her lugging around o2 tanks, stroller and baby bag.  It was alot.  They say that Kali may have to go home on it, but I'm hoping like you, that she weans down and goes to completely room air.  And as of last night she weighs 3lbs 15oz, so just one ounce sigh of 4lbs.

And Alex is a big girl!!  Weighing 6lbs!!  That's wonderful.  Both of our girls have come a long way and I honestly believe that it is because we have been giving them the liquid gold (breastmilk).  But I think it's straight that you still express for her.  She is still getting the best of both worlds.

Hey hun!!!  How is your little Alex doing?  I know she's getting stronger and stronger each day as well.  My little Kali is fine.  She has heart surgery schedule for tomorrow and you can just imagine what is going through my mind.  But other than the surgery is just fine..  I haven't been able to cuddle with her yet, as she has "lines" in your stomach (basically they're used to draw blood).  So once they're removed I'll be able to hold her.  But I did get to change her diaper for the first time 2 days ago.  Aww, it was special.  Take care hun and TTYL!
