My 4 kids, my new husband and reminding myself to relax and enjoy each day.

Scrapbooking, Chrocheting, Camping, Reading and Summer

All kinds, and I Love Keith Urban's music!

I'm remarried and my husband has a very low sperm count. Docs told us we would not be able to conceive on our own. So here starts are fertility journey. I have 4 great kids, but my eggs are getting old - so I'm hoping we can have one child together. 12/09We just did an IUI last week and now we are in the 2ww. 12/09 - well IUI was a bust. We are moving on to IVF 1/20/09 - We are 1/2 way into IVF cycle and I have about 20 eggs ranging in size from 12-17 :) We will wait a few more days to see how many can mature and then we will retrieve on the 24th or 26th of Jan. Praying for a BFP for Valentines day!! **** We got our BFP on 2/4/2010 a week before we expected it. Hurray! We are so excited! *** April 2010 - on bedrest at 12 weeks - augh. Not 100% sure why, but I have a shortening cervix and still spotting. I pray these babies willstay "baking" for another 20 weeks at least! **** May 2010 - So far this month the bleeding is less, but the worries are more. We got some scary news about both our babies at our last u/s. We are praying - please pray they are healthy. On a happy note - we have been blessed with twin girls - Hanna Lee and Shelby Rose.*********June 2010 - Hit the 20 week mark - woohoo - 4 weeks to first goal :) Had an ultrasound and babies are growing well, still have downs syndrome concerns, but I'm learning to deal with it and trying to stay positive. *******July 2010 -- 3 days from 28 week mark!! I can't believe it!! The girls are both about 2 pounds, I'm off work and SWOLLEN, but so happy to be so close to our goal. Doc says anything after 28 weeks is gravy with twins - so I'm hoping for about 7 weeks of GRAVY!!! :)Bleeding is still gone, lots of back pain and can't sleep - but its okay - its making our girls stronger and healthier. *** August 2010 -- almost 32 weeks - AMAZING! Lost of contractions and swelling, but the girls seem totally unaffected. We are less than 5 weeks from meeting our babies and I can't believe it! *** Sept *** WOW - we are now less then a few weeks away from delivering at 36 wks, 5 days - it seems surreal and great. I still worry and fret about their health, how our family will do and the changes that are coming - - but most of me just feels blessed. Please pray for our girls to be okay. Baby dust to all!!! ***** Sept 2010 ** Blessed to have our girls here and healthy! Life is busy - but wonderful

Thank you so much for your comment.  We are all praying for a miracle here.  I cry my eyes out one minute and then the next I tell myself maybe this is my ONE chance.  IVF is a rollercoaster of emotions as you know.  Its seems like im happy one minute and then sad the next.  Thank you for keeping me in your prayers.

Yea, it's not very cautious of me to post my ticker, but as I told Cheryl, I'm trying to pretend I'm a normal person who has not had years of disappointment. :)

How you feeilng today?

Hey, I'm good. I just left you a huge comment on your blog! LOL! Unfortunately, it's a lot of trial an error! I forgot to mention the "diet rules". As a general outline, each meal/snack should have about 30 carbs and 15 protein. ( some may run lower for snak or higher for bog meals-15 carbs/7 protein, 40 carbs/20 protein, ect.) 30 carbs though is the goal. You should also eat 5/6 times a day about 2 hours apart. This helps the balance of insulin. Veggies are generally "free" as are sugar free and diet things. Fruits do count. Milk counts too, but lactose gets processed differently than normal sugar. Milk does not really seem to raise MY sugar. I use it for protein, though!! It may yours. You'll just have to try and see. I think that about covers it, but if you need anything else or I need to clarify something, by all means let me know!! I'd be happy to share!!!

I meant to say I love bread and pasta lol sorry..did your dr. tell you how many times you check your sugar each day?

I remember doing 35 carbs for breakfast..lunch and dinner and two snacks of 15 carbs between lunch and dinner...and I had to stick to portions..they let me eat all the green veggies I wanted though..which sucked cause I wanted a big piece of chocolate cake lol. the reason for controlling your carbs is that carbs turn to sugar.............I hear you on the bread and pasta.
