Hello,I have two children. I've been married to my husband for 13 years and we have one 12 year old son and a baby boy who was born August 1, 2010. I'm a teacher and work with young children with developmental disabilities. Within in the past four years I've had one miscarriage and one preterm birth (a baby girl). I practiced Shettles Gender Selection method for four months before receiving my last BFP, and hoped for a girl. I am feeling good other than getting sick a lot lately in different ways lol...I haven't really felt it yet but i may have not noticed it they say it takes a little longer with girls whoe had some extra padding before pregnancy... i probably notice in a couple of weeks when they become more noticeable... and my next appt is actually today i got in and for once Dh gets to go..... he still hasn't got to hear the heartbeat just see the baby..... Sowe will see when our next ultrasound is... if its to far away Dh says he is opting for an elective ultrasound because he wants to know what we are having because i am 18w2d today

Hi - the first time we heard it at doctors it was 169 and with home doppler it was hard to get a good reading but it was around 154.  I goto docs again thursday so we will see what it is then.  how are you feeling?

i know i researched all those tests since i am soo impatient.. i was gonna do the blood one but when i was 14 weeks i had sever bleeding and thought i lost the baby i was sent to high risk and they saw the gender then i was 14w5d.. sorry to hear about your little one..  i lost twins last years in the second trimester when my water broke on baby a.. it was too early to deliver i was 16 weeks so i had to terminate my IVF preg.  Emma was my frozen embryo left over from that cycle..

 

whoo second trimester here you come.. i say 2nd trimester is 13 weeks.. so you are almost there.. cant wait to hear your results  just keep asking about the gender. hoping you find out soon.

hey!  no I cant believe we are almost in our second trimester! so exciting!  I dont have a preference in gender..just healthy!  I cant wait to know though! 

Are you getting an NT scan done?  Im going on March 8th.  Im excited to see the little one but its also a little nerve wrecking.  

 I have a bad cold so I haven't been feeling that great.   Hope you are feeling good!

Hey.  When I delivered my little girl I was only 23wks 4days. It was due to IC.  The surgery for the cerclage is not a bad one.  I was over before I knew it.  Of course they put you to sleep, but afterwards, I was on moderate bedrest and that was it.  This time around, whenever I become pregnant, after I have my cerclage inserted I'm going to put myself on bedrest, not strict cause I have Kali to take care of, but I will take things easier.  Kali doesn't have any complications from being born early, or should I say  she isn't showing any problems.  I'm told that it is still a waiting game at this point.  That she could devlop problems later, but we just don't know.  I try not to think about that, but it does pop up in my head. Shes 7months and shes doing well.  Had an eye apointment today and doesn't have to go back for 3months.  So she is good.

You are 11wks by your ticker, so I would say talk to your doctor about checking the length of your cervix.  IC is very common and alot of people don't know about it.  You may or may not have have IC. Some woman can have IC and deliver a term baby and some can have IC and deliver a preemie. So it's like a 50/50 thing. But I wish you the best and can't wait to read more of your updates about your little one.  Have you heard the heartbeat yet?!  :)
