Hi! My name is Krystal, I am 23
years old and my DH is Justin and he is 27 years
old. We have been married for 3 years and have
been ttc for almost 2 years.
I work at an insurance office and my husband is in
water treatment. As of right now our only child is
our 6 year old Jack Russell named Buddy!
I was having problems with my cycle... I only had
AF every 6 months or so... and it got so bad that
in 2006 I went a full year with no AF!!! I went to
several doctors... and the first one said that it
wasn't a problem (??? And she was a woman dr???)
the next doctor I went to said it sounded like I
had PCOS and he did an Ultrasound to check and I
had several cysts on my ovaries. But this dr
starting telling me one thing and then next thing
I know he says he never told me that to do the
complete opposite.. so again I had to find a new
dr, luckily... this was the last one...
Dr. Backer is acutally right up the street from my
house and he is the nicest dr you'll ever meet! He
didn't waste any time he did and ultrasound and
lots of tests... and got me right in for an
exploritory surgery to see how things looked. Then
I was offically dx with PCOS and endometriosis in
October 2006.
He then sent me to a RE about an hour away... he
is very good I just hate the drive!! But I know it
will all be worth it!
In October 07 I started Clomid and Metformin...
trial and error... I am now on cycle # 12 on the
same meds just much higher dosages... I take 4
metformin a day with 3 clomids on CD 3-9 and of
course my vitamens (man am I a druggie or what??
lol)... this dosage seems to FINALLY be the right
one... it has worked for the last 4 cycles... I am
now on my 5th cycle of this dosage.
It has been a hard battle but I try everyday to
keep strong, but it is hard to stay strong when
ALL of my friends have either just had babies or
are pregnant now. But I am now getting to where I
feel like I need to back off of trying so hard and
just let things happen... I will continue to take
my meds and BD when needed... but other than that
I know that I will be blessed with my miracle baby
when GOD knows the time is right!!!
A new baby is like the
beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of
possibilities.

Do you think waiting until I get home from work to use the OPK will be okay? I usually get home around 5:30-6:00. I can stop drinking at work at like 3:30 and then test as soon as I get home. If you think the 12 - 2 time frame is better I guess I will have to find a way to do the tests at work with all the nosey buggers around.
Thanks for your comment Krystal! I hope the doctor has good news for me today. toyou!! I was going to tell you also that my friends daughter had PCOS pretty bad and they went in and did a surgery where they drilled little holes in the cysts and drained them and then she was able to conceive. Actually she had to have it done for both of her babies. I know it sounds horrible but I had never heard of that before so maybe you can use this information.
