Hi, my name is Erica and my DH is Scott. My husband and I are TTC baby #1. Well DH and I have been trying to have a baby since March 2007 but we never protected ourselves since we've been together which is going on 10 years in May of 2008. We've been kinda wondering why we've never been pregnant. I went to the doctor about 5 years ago and got checked but was overwhelmed at the idea of becoming a mother at the time I just put off going back. I made a deal with myself and God. If I didn't get pregnant by 30 I would go back to the doctor. Well I will admit I think I've only had maybe 6 AFs since that doctor visit 5 years ago. I was told I had an enlarge petuitary gland thou it was not tumorous. Anyway I went back to see the doctor in March of this year a couple months before my 30th birthday and decided now as a good time to have a baby. My DH is 35. We have everything now that we need to be ready for a baby. We own our own house, have good jobs, are still very much in love, and financially stable. When I went to the doctor he decided I needed to have some tests done. I went in for blood test and pelvic Ultra Sound done. When I got the results my OBGYN told me I had a hormone embalance which I kind of figured anyway. He told me however that the rest of my body seemed just find for having a baby. He sent me to a hormone doctor to get the prolatin levels lowered (they were at 84, they need to be between 3-36) The next doctor put me on a hormone medication that bought my levels down and tested me some more with MRI's and more blood tests. Everything came out great, even my petuitary gland seemed to be normal now. Problem was, after being on the new hormone pill I wasn't getting AF. About a week ago my hormone doctor sent me back to my OBGYN and told me to tell him that I had not had AF yet. OBGYN gave me a pill to make me have AF and yesterday I still hadn't gotten AF after finishing the pills to start AF last week. I called my OBGYN to find out why he told me the pills may not of worked or that hopefully I was pregnant. Well I have cramping and spotting now finally. I am disappointed however. My OBGYN has given my husband and I until September to get pregnant or he will be sending us to an infertility doctor. All this has me down and I never shared this information before online. Perhaps you guys would have some suggestions to me. I've been monitoring this site since March of this year and it's very inspiring. I keep wanting to experience all the TWW and PO symptoms. I want so much to have DH's baby. Some encouragement or advice would be great. I'm up for anything :) Thanks. July 14, 2007 Update: I don't have PCOS. The doctor says my ovaries are fine. He's been watching them. Also said that the only thing I need to worry about is my prolatin levels that and my hubby who still needs to be tested but the OB told us to wait until September. The meds he has me on for my hormones is Cabergoline. For the forced AF which I am having right now that took 4 days to kick in is Medroxyprogesterone. I don't recommend a forced AF to anyone. They are worse than the natural! For more information about DH and I try www.myspace.com/ericarouse

Thanks for the comment, yeah I figure its AF or implantation. How great they both have the same signs haha.

Just stopping by to say thanks again for the prayers... got some interesting news at the doctor, most likely that I'm not ovulating, might go on clomid pending the blood test drawn today.  I wrote a blog about it, which has all the juicy details.. Anyway, thanks again!

Hi! Thanks for checking in on me. No BFP yet. I am taking Vitex now and it seems to be making me O every month so that's a plus. I haven't been on this site too much lately - just having a hard time with no BFP. How are things going for you? Babydust to you!!!

Hi there!  I love being on the South Beach Diet.  I have lost 20lbs in just 5 weeks!  The food is normal food, you are just cutting out starches and lowering your fat intake.  You don't have to count carbs or calories, etc.  But I don't think I ever come close to 45 carbs a meal!  The first two weeks is the toughest.  But if you can make it through that, you won't miss the potatoes and junk food.  I have even cheated a couple times, and still lost the weight.  Give it a try!  I have heard many times it's a good diet for trying to conceive.

Good luck and babydust!

Thanks for the comment on my blog.  I don't think you need to abandon your favorite fruit altogether.  I was thinking that perhaps if you eat an entire fresh pineapple, that would be strong enough to cause uterine contractions.  I don't know, it's better to be on the safe side.  We don't want out wombs to be contracting even the slightest bit, specially if we expect a little bean to stick on it.  I do, however, feel that a slice wouldn't hurt.  In fact, I read that pineapples are a good source of vitamin C and folic acid.  It specifically mentioned canned pineapple juice.  That's the one I'm drinking.  Hope these natural stuff work for us

Hi, Erica.  Thanks for such a sweet comment.  Thanks for the baby dust as well, really need them.  I've been a member of TWW for a little over a month, but it seems as if I knew the ladies for a long time.  I do not have any friends to share my TTC frustrations with coz they are either with kids or not TTC.  So, I found this site and fell in love with the supportive and caring ladies.  We read each other's blogs and comments, and somehow feel connected to each other at a personal level.  It's just amazing and truly wonderful.  I pray that you get your BFP pretty soon.  Good luck and loads of glittery baby dust to you
