I have been married 14 years and have an 11 year old son. I conceived my son with no problems and had a very easy pregnancy/delivery.

A year and a half later, my husband and I decided to try for a second child. I became pregnant about 6 months later but lost the baby the day after I found out I was expecting. At the time, I was very sick with high fever, flu, etc., so the miscarriage was blamed for that.

Eight years went by and suddenly I turn up pregnant! I was soooo excited and thought this was it. God was finally going to bless me with another child. Two weeks after finding out I was pregnant, I lost this child with no explanation as to why.

This loss was extremely heartbreaking for my family, but at the same time, it offered hope that I could still get pregnant.

Almost a year has gone by, and I decided I have waited long enough to figure out what was going on.

I finally decided to go to the doctor to get some blood work done. Of course, the first answer is to lose weight and excercise, but she did agree to do some tests. All of my blood work checked out fine, but an ultrasound revealed 12 cysts on my right ovary. This confirmed the doctor's suspicion of PCOS.

I have been taking Metformin and have started the South Beach Diet (doctor's suggested diet). So, I am officially TTC...Again. ****UPDATE!! GOT MY BFP ON 6/30/08! I'M DUE ON 3/11/09!!!!****UPDATE**** Went for an ultrasound on 7/24/08 and no heartbeat was detected...Miscarried on 7/27/08*** We're still trying!!

Hey...how are you doing?  Are you feeling okay (physically, I know the emotional is a challenge)?

Thank you for your comment but my wish is that you are taking care of yourself right now.

You know already that my sympathies are with you; I'm relieved that you've started the grieving process already - that's so healthy.  I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.  My offer still stands if you need to talk.  However, I respect that you need some distance at times...

Hope and hugs,

Jody

also, I am praying for you and your bean!  I have a friend who saw a hb at 6 weeks, no baby at 8 weeks (must have been hiding) and baby and STRONG hb at 9 weeks!  I think sometimes the u/s machines are NOT as reliable as docs put stalk in them.  Also, a little bit of blood is not all that abnormal--it's totally possible you may have had a cyst burst or something.  Take it easy and TRY not to think about it if you can.  distract yourself all you can b/c either way there's not a thing you can do about it.  big hugs!!!

Hang in there!  Did you dr. do an ultrasound?  Or a doppler?  Or was it a tech that did the ultrasound?  I have my first OB appointment on Wednesday - FINALLY - but I'm seeing my GP about the cramping tomorrow morning.

((((hugs)))) Prayers, and blessings!
