I have been married 14 years and have an 11 year old son. I conceived my son with no problems and had a very easy pregnancy/delivery.

A year and a half later, my husband and I decided to try for a second child. I became pregnant about 6 months later but lost the baby the day after I found out I was expecting. At the time, I was very sick with high fever, flu, etc., so the miscarriage was blamed for that.

Eight years went by and suddenly I turn up pregnant! I was soooo excited and thought this was it. God was finally going to bless me with another child. Two weeks after finding out I was pregnant, I lost this child with no explanation as to why.

This loss was extremely heartbreaking for my family, but at the same time, it offered hope that I could still get pregnant.

Almost a year has gone by, and I decided I have waited long enough to figure out what was going on.

I finally decided to go to the doctor to get some blood work done. Of course, the first answer is to lose weight and excercise, but she did agree to do some tests. All of my blood work checked out fine, but an ultrasound revealed 12 cysts on my right ovary. This confirmed the doctor's suspicion of PCOS.

I have been taking Metformin and have started the South Beach Diet (doctor's suggested diet). So, I am officially TTC...Again. ****UPDATE!! GOT MY BFP ON 6/30/08! I'M DUE ON 3/11/09!!!!****UPDATE**** Went for an ultrasound on 7/24/08 and no heartbeat was detected...Miscarried on 7/27/08*** We're still trying!!

Thank you for your comment.  It's so helpful to have support from other women who have been through the same thing. Good luck in your journey!

Thank for the helpful and encouraging words! I really appreciate it. I am very new to charting and don't really know what to be looking for. Best of luck to you this cycle.

Howdy, so far I'm really liking the Vitex.  As of today I'm starting week 6 of taking it and so far it looks like I may o in the next few days (I'm on CD 15), which is quite early for me and it will make my whole cycle around 30 days long (a little more or less).  My last period was also better than usual.  I tend to have some really bad cramps the first couple of days, but I had about half a day of less painful cramps than normal.  So, I'll see if it continues! :)

Hi yeah, Im doing great, still at home and ready to go again as my batteries are more than recharged, I guess that Clomid has helped you to delay the O, in my case is always the same with or without clomid so there you have, we are all different and respond to drugs differently. Its great that you have all the BD right on time, now just sit back and try to relax a little, I am praying this time you get lucky. God bless.

LOL, I know what you mean!  I keep going back and forth with myself on if I really, really want to take a break, lol.  But I know it's for the best - for my sanity's sake if nothing else! ;)  Partly I want to just see if my cycle will start straightening out since I've just started taking Vitex.  I'm liking my results so far, but we'll see how it goes.  It will all be worth it in the end I know!  TY for the wishes and I hope you get a BFP soon too!  Blessings and Babydust!
