trying to conceive for 3 and a half years.married to my wonderful hubby on jan2003.he is indeed a blessing in my life.god has taught us lots of things in this faithful journey of marriage.we stand on psalm23 where it says yes thou i walk thru the valley of the shadow of death i shall not fear no evil for you are with me.you will comfort me. we started our journey of TTC since 2005may.we decided we take RE help and we did meet our wonderful doc on may21.having done all tests on me and my hubby everything came back normal.doc suggested clomid and we have opted this month with clomid and timed intercourse.now am in the TWW.above all who am i to try and figure out whts gonna happen next coz i put my focus on my lord and he will uphold me with his righteous right hand.waiting for a beautiful baby in my arms.we did clomid with IUI this month and yes indeed on october 10 ,2008 we received a call from doc's office and our results came POSITIVE WITH beta levels of 124.but unfortunately turned out to be a chemical pregnancy.was sad for a few days but then am renewed again with new strength.i thank the lord for all his love ,mercy and compassion and i know he will help us become pregnant...after a break for 5mnths tryingon our own finally started our treatment on follistim injectibles75iu+hcgshot+iui on april 9,09 .had tried for three cycles with foliistim and iui and no luck...leaving it all into the hands of my RISEN SAVIOUR for his word says children are a reward from him the fruit of the womb is his reward.given a break for 5 months and was trying to figure out ways of getting an IVF done.but alas my insurance wont cover for insurance.in the meantime my spirit was also prompting me to change my doc and so as i waited prayed and fasted finally god opened yet another door towards iui when we met our new doc on jan 1,202.he saw all our reports and started us on clomid 100mg for 5 days and then follistim 75iu for 4 days and did the trigger after finding three mature follicles of sizes 20,18,19mm. triggered and performed iui on jan 20,2010 and waited the tww and finally when i tested with POAS i got two bright dark lines indicating I AM pregnant.waiting for my betas now.God is a wonderful god and just like he promised in deut eronomy 28:8 he said he will make me as a surplus of prosperity through the fruit of mywomb.

The first cycle of follistim I had either 2 or 3 follies, but I don't remember exactly. On my 2nd cycle I had 5 follies split between both ovaries all mature enough to O. The only time I felt O pains was on that 2nd follistim cycle and I only felt them on 1 side so maybe the other side  didn't release. I dont know for sure.I hope this cycle works for you.

I honestly have no idea.  I know that when I got pregnant with my son, I had one mature egg and one that was almost ready.  Basically we had a chance of having one or two babies.  In the past I do remember that I had several at a time, but none took.  One of my problems was my estridol levels were low.  If anything does not happen this time for you, you may want to ask about estridol levels.  Best wishes and try not to stress.  God will give you a baby when the time is right and you will get the baby that you are meant to have!

But listen, if it doesn't seem much, Follicles can grow over 2mm overnight, that's what happened with me, so don't pay much attention.

The first time that I used it I was at 37.5 for 12 days - Did blood work and moved to 75.0 for 2 days and then did the Ovidrel and IUI.

The second time I used it I was at 37.5 for 6 days - Did blood work and moved to 75.0 for 5 days and then did the Ovidrel and IUI.  I took a pregnancy test at night on 12 days past IUI and got a faint positive.  I took another at 13 days past IUI and got a good positive.  Went in for blood work the morning of 14 days past IUI and it was 195.  At 16 days past IUI it was 508.

One thing that I found helpful was in the Follistim Treatment Log - I recorded the date/Daily Dose/What Side(L or R)/Cartridge Content/Remaining Content

Here is what two entries looked like for me:

3/8/08  75.0 (L)  150.0  75.03/9/08  75.0 (R)  75.0   0

The spaces are where the lines are inside the booklet.  I hope that made sense.  I also recorded when we did blood work.  It was really helpful for me.

I did 2 cycles of follistim. On the 1st cycle my temp spiked the morning of Iui so i knew that I O'd the day before, we missed the egg. On the 2nd cycle my Re upped my starting dosage and I had O pains the morning of iui and was O'ing right when we did the iui. ask me any questions you have. BFP here you come! make sure to keep me posted as to when you start the inject and when your 1st bloodwork and u/s are sched.

thanks for taking the time to read my blog! and yes, the $6,000 includes everything....meds, ultrasounds, the whole shabang! But only for one cycle. Leave it up to God is what I say too, if He wants it to happen it will right?!? It's still so hard to decide what to do.
