I work full-time as an LPN Supervisor on the 11-7 shift.

I'm not married but I have been with the same man for 3 yrs. We don't have a conventional relationship but we do what works for us and we're happy as can be that way.

After TTC #1 for about 2 yrs. I finally got my BFP on 10/13/08. My DP has 2 children from a previous relationship.

My partner often (jokingly) calls me a tree-hugging hippie. I don't wear tie-dye or anything and I'm guilty of not always recycling but I do have long hair, a free spirit, I believe in karma, and I love nature. I see the beauty in simple things, such as the way flowers dance in the breeze, or the way the raindrops ricochet in a puddle.

My dream is to go on to become an RN and eventually work in OB. I have always loved being around babies and I've had plenty of practice with them, as I'm the oldest in a large family and have taken care of siblings and cousins over the years, and now I help take care of my sister's baby.

More details about me and my winding road to TTC will follow in future blogs.

Thanks for your comment! It makes me feel better. I have taken baby asprin for the last several years anyway just because it is good for you. It is good to hear that neither you or your sisters had any problems with birth control either. I also did not have a problem on the BC. My frustration was really just really that my doc had never told me. Thanks again! alli

Do you think waiting until I get home from work to use the OPK will be okay?  I usually get home around 5:30-6:00.  I can stop drinking at work at like 3:30 and then test as soon as I get home.  If you think the 12 - 2 time frame is better I guess I will have to find a way to do the tests at work with all the nosey buggers around

Hi there!  Thanks for the advice on my blog.  I am temping and am still waiting for my thermal shift.  I got a second + OPK yesterday.  Last cycle I got two + OPK's and then O'd two days later, so this time I'm making sure we BD all the way through until I see my temp change!  It seems like it takes forever waiting to ovulate though! lol

Good luck to you this cycle!

That's so good to hear. I'm doing okay. Headaches every day and tired. But I'm trying to deal with that until I can see my midwife again and ask if there is anything we can do about headaches.
