Our Journey to Parenthood:
Myname is Emy & my DH is Bryan. We have been
together since 2001 - on & off. We were engaged
February 24, 2007 & married on September 27,
2008.
Wedecided to start TTC on our wedding night, but
we didn't officially start till January 2009.
Afteralmost 1 year & a 1/2 of temping, charting,
using OPKs, EPO, Pre~Seed (& whatever else we
could think of), BFNs after BFNs, & tears, we
decided it was time to seek help.
March23, 2010 - Met with an RE for the 1st time!
He seems like such a great Dr.!!! Explained to DH
& I that we would be going through a few rounds of
testing - once testing is complete, we would go
over everything & decide what the best plan for us
would be.....testing begins on CD1.
April9, 2010 - AF came...called RE's office & set
up an appointment for 1st round of testing
(blood-work & an ultra sound).
April10, 2010 - Blood-work came back just fine! RE
prescribed Clomid for CD5 - CD9.
April15, 2010 - 1st test - HSG! I was terrified,
but soon found out it was a complete piece of
cake! A little bit uncomfortable, but definitely
no pain! & best of all, my tubes are clear &
open!!! It was the best news I received in a long
time!!! I was so happy that I wanted to scream it
out to the world!!!
April22, 2010 - Hubby's SA! Still waiting on
results!
April26, 2010 - Second test - PCT! This was also
easy, but a bit uncomfortable....however, not the
results I was looking for. RE said he saw very
little CM & absolutely no sperm. He said that this
doesn't necessarily mean hubby has none, but we
would know for sure once all testing is complete.
He said they can easily do an insemination. The
last test, endometrial biopsy is scheduled for May
5th....
May5, 2010 - Endometrial Biopsy was done today &
not bad at all! We get results in 7 days! I need
to call when AF comes. Also, got hubby's SA
results! 6 million sperm!!! YES!!! I was so
worried he had none! I am sooo over the moon!!!
May11, 2010 - AF decided to come today - called
the RE & also got Endo Biopsy results - everything
looks good & we got the ok to move forward! RE
consultation appointment on Tuesday, May 18th to
see what our next step will be. Hubby & I are both
so excited!
May18, 2010 - Had our consultation with our RE
today...I'm going to need a hysteroscopy with a D
& C before any plan can go into effect, but we are
possibly looking at IVF.
May19, 2010 - Feeling better about it all &
looking forward to possibly getting IVF! My
hysteroscopy is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26,
2010!!!
May26, 2010 - Had my hysteroscopy today - NO
POLYPS! Everything is great!!! Thank you, Lord!!!
Next RE's appointment for 2 weeks follow-up is on
Wednesday, June 9th @ 5:45p.m.
June9, 2010 - IVF, here we come! RE confirmed this
is the way to go for us...will update as soon as I
know more.
