IVF #1:
After three cycles of at-home ICI, we stepped up
our efforts by working with an RE and taking
Clomid. We did our first IUI (taking 50 mg.
Clomid) on 3/25/08, but got a BFN. :( Our second
IUI (taking 100 mg. Clomid) happened on 4/19/08
but also ended in a BFN. Our third IUI (also on
100 mg. Clomid, using a new donor who has great
motility and sperm count, 2 mature follicles -
28.5mm and 22.5mm) happened on 5/17/08. Sadly,
another BFN. We did an IUI with a midwife on
6/12/08 (100 mg Clomid) but AF showed... We had to
take a break for several months, but had an
appointment with a new RE's office on August 27,
2008 and just did IVF #1! Here's a rundown of
recent events:

prometrium
11/4 - CD 1
11/5 - blood draw, u/s, and got my medication
protocol
11/7 - another blood draw and u/s to make sure
my lining is thin enough; begin daily Gonal-F
injections (225 IUs per day)
11/12 - begin daily HCG low dose injections
(25 units) along with Gonal-F. Appointment with RE
for bloodwork and u/s (go eggies go!)

weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches. WE
LOVE HER!!!
Yeah, I will find out tomorrow if she is going to bump me up to 7.5, and if she doesnt I am switching r.e's.. I have a friend that is giving me maybe half of the injectibles I would need, so I might just have to buy the rest, and then pay for the iui.. Or maybe just do timed relations again.. Because my husband s.a. was VERY high.. So he is definitely not our problem. This is so overly frustrating :( I dont know what to do!!!!
I am so bummed. March will be 3 years we've been trying, so I am starting to get a little antsy.. Our insurance covers NOTHING except oral medicated cycles. Not even injectibles w IUI, but I know we can at least be a little more agressive with the meds.. If nothing happens this time I guess we will be paying out of pocket for injectibles bc this is just crazy!!!! I am so excited for you and I hope with all my might this little one sticks!
Hey! Thanks for checking on me. I just wrote a blog.. I am testing in the morning. I will be at least 18 dpo. I am crampy like af is coming, but I havent started.. So we will see. I dont "feel" pregnant.. But who knows!! I am praying for you too :)
17 days?!? That is forever!! I am wishing you the best of luck this cycle! I know its been a long road. I believe I am 12dpo today and I DID NOT test.. I ordered some tests from earlypregnancytests.com and they are supposed to be super sensitive, so I am waiting on those. You are in my prayers! KMP!
