Thanks Kristin for checking in on me, I am doing ok. AF showed up today so of to another round of femara cycle. Sorry to hear that you are having constant m/s, but I will do anything to have that right now. I hope you are doing well other wise
Ha ha! Yes, Biscuits are Cookies, Chips are fries and crisps are potato chips! I always forget that! Barley water is just cordial with orange and barley. Its lovely! I have been trying the green tea, but it is just tooo disgusting to drink! How about you?
A lot of women where i work are doing the slimming world / weight watchers thing, but being in a group and everybody talking about green days and red days is not for me. I have done loads of faddy diets in the past, but this time around i am doing what my husband did: Cereal in the morning, afternoon time loads (and i mean LOADS) of fruit with yoghurt on top, then in the evening sticking to a baked potato diet. (this comes in many varieties.. Chicken and baked potato, beans and baked potato, baked potato and salad with grilled bacon.. Everything is baked potato based!! Its a bit bland, but my god, its working. Basically, my hubby is counting my calories to equal 1,500 a day. We have cut out wine :( and there are no chocolate, biscuits, crisps or chips allowed in the house. although we are having as much fruit and yoghurt as we can manage. I am drinking a lot of barley water and using the exercise bike 4 times a week to do a 25-30 minute cycle. It really is quite "samey" having the same sorts of food every day, but you can variate the toppings on your baked potato.. as long as your total daily intake does not exceed 1,500 cals. I invested in one of those forman grill things and cook lots of chicken on it. its been a godsend i have to say.
This is all a bit drastic food wise, because i am a total foodie and love to cook and eat. I did do a proper roast lamb dinner on Sunday, because i do believe in taking the odd day "off" and it was a wonderful treat, but whenever i get sick of seeing a baked potato or can't be bothered to cycle, i just think "BABY!!!!" and it does help somewhat!
Well, Its coming off slowly.. Since i started, it has regulated my cycles somewhat.. I dont really want to weigh much because it depresses me! I started about 8 weeks ago and have lost roughly 11lb. My husband is putting me through a bit of a punishing exercise schedule though. He sounds similar to yours. He has lost 7and a half stone. (about 105lb) It seemed a lot easier for him.. All i have to do is look at a mars bar and i put on!
Hehe, yeah I changed my pic, but for some reason it is not showing the new one on my computer. Good to hear it is going well with you. I am here just hanging in still trying to figure out what is going on with my body. Arghhh and it is back to work already tomorrow. But it is a long weekend next week for us, so I am looking forward to that.
