Welcome to two week wait.  Just wanted to say my ttc journey has been a bit like yours.  i went to a FE this week after 9 months of no luck and irregular cyles (the latest is a record 90+ days!).  He diagnosed PCOS after a quick look at my ovaries.  Feeling much better having seen him as I had pretty much not been ovulating during those long cycles so we were effectively wasting time.  Now Im on progesterone tablets to restart my cycle and then I go on a med called clomiphene which stimulates ovulation which they do a scan to check for at about cycle day 12-14.  The FE was pretty positive that we would get there with a bit of help. 

Just wanted to wish you lots of luck with this cycle and if you do decide to see a specialist.  It took me a month to get in to him but was worth the wait to have a much more hopeful plan in place.
