12 DPO BFP After Mirena
I am so happy to share my story after finding this site 4 months ago.
In Sept. I thought I was pregnant but had a Mirena IUD in place for 4yrs. The Mirena expelled 4 days late into my cycle. Though I was not trying and have 4 children it's amazing what you continue to learn about your body. This site has helped me understand I am not crazy and symptoms start from Day 1.
For me, I O'd on the 14th/15 judging the EWCM we bd'd on the 11th&12th. My first symptom was 8 dpo, I was so tired couldn't pull my head out of bed most of the day! 9-11 dpo tired, very mild nausea almost just annoying. Then last night I dreamed I was pregnant woke up to pee and sat there thinking hmmm... So today 12 dpo I had sharp on/off twinges in my ovary area mostly when I stood too fast. I bought a First Response early 6 day before your expected period. In less than 2mins there it was two lines! Even at 35 and the 5th go round I found myself re-reading the directions to test.
I hope this helps someone, especially if you have had Mirena it happened on my 2nd cycle!

I am sooooo glad you posted this!! I had my mirena removed 01/06 and have been wanting to conceive very badly. However, I was told it would take 3-6 months for my cycles to resume before I could. How long did it take for your cycles to resume? I know you saif it was your second cycle, but how soon after removal was your first cycle?

I always had a cycle or cycle symptoms while Mirena was in place. Usually just 2days of very light bleeding/spotting. My first cycle started Dec. 4th it was like a "normal" cycle but lighter and I never noticed much CM at time of ovulation my next cycle started Jan. 1st 28days and this time I noticed the EWCM on the 13/14th. The Mirena made me feel crazy at times, tired, light headed but when it expulsed (what I think it's called) I was glad to be rid of it! I hope you get back to "normal" quickly and your cycles return. I had regular cycles while I had the mirena. 29 days long 4-5 days mestrating. My last period was the 22 of decmeber, and I had it removed on the 6th of janruary and I heavily spotted the 8-12. I am not sure if that counts as a period or not and I have not had any other bleeding or spotting since. Im hoping that it counts as a period and I can conceive right away. Thank you for sharing your story, it gives me hope!
