so my last pregnancy was 11 years ago, i remember having to have a few more antenatal appointments and shots during pregnancy and afterbirth, but as this is my second do i need to see a midwife earlier?? will it be different this time?

Depends on if your first baby has the same rhesus factor as you or not. If y'all are the same, no worries. If not, it's still possible that you weren't sensitized. I'd mention it to them when you call for your first appointment and let them decide.

I mean, if unborn baby's blood and your blood mix, then yes, bad things can happen. I'd call your doc and see if they want early rhogam injections for you. They might just do an antibody screen instead. If you're still negative on the screen, then you don't have to worry with the early injection.

I'm o- and this is my 3rd. All the ob said was I would be getting another rhogam injection at 28 weeks. Best to ask though. What's your rare blood type?

Thats reassuring, was concerned just cos i couldnt remember and its 2 weeks til my first appointment oh and my blood type is B- pretty rare, so chances of the baby having the same are slim

I'd say you'll most likely be fine until then. They might ask for some blood work to check it. My mom was o- also. I wonder about dh and my girls though. No clue.
