Is it dangerous if baby´s weight is too much for Gest. Age?

Postby dreamingofbab » Wed Apr 22, 2015 10:05 am

Hi Ladies

Following on from me worrying about how much weight I´ve gained (10kgs by 24 weeks, even though I am eating healthy and excercising 3-5 times per week) I am now worried that baby´s weight is a problem? He was measuring 800 grams at 24 weeks and I read he should only weigh that much at like 27 or 28 weeks.

Do you think this is dangerous or could cause a problem for him?

Thanks in advance for any advise and replies

Every baby is different! :) My older sister weighed 6lb 5oz at birth, I was 7lb 8oz, and my little brother was just under 12lb at birth and we were all perfectly healthy. Don't worry - if you are healthy and the dr doesn't seem concerned, then everything is just fine! :)
