Anyone else have a tilted uterus?

Postby Artemis » Tue May 26, 2015 9:32 am

Hi ladies!! So I have a tilted uterus that I never knew I had until my amazing OB pointed it out during our ultrasound. Instead of it sitting on mybladder, it sits above my rectum, weird!! He said that it's perfectly fine it's just my unique anatomy, and it was the reason I get back cramps during AF and why I'm getting back cramps as my "growing pains" now during pregnancy. I'm not concerned about it at all BUT I am scared I'm going to have the WORST back labor because of it now lol.

Anyone else have any experience with a tilted uterus?!

Well with my first 2 girls I was never told anything about my uterus and never had back labor or anything. This time though at my 8 week apt, Dr said my uterus was retroverted. I still started feeling baby really early (taps around 11 weeks it's my 3rd baby though). Now I'm wondering about the back labor this time, or if it was always like that and I was just never told? I have no idea. Lol

I have one. Your uterus will tip forward from the weight of the baby by 15 weeks or so. :-)

Yeah as the baby grows you'll straighten out more. I really don't think it'll have an affect on labor pains. Soo exciting though when are you due?
