I'm so glad you spoke to the ob and what he said sounds very similar to what my doctor said. Normally you don't have to do it twice but I did because one of my blood sugar tests early on in pregnancy was high so doctor wanted to be safe. I'm doing it again now because this is the standard time most women do it between 24-28 weeks.
I wish I had a pool! That sounds awesome.

I'm attaching a pic of the nursery furniture set we picked out. Since the grandparents and great-grandparents are all chipping in they are getting us the whole set! I'm so excited!!

Babydust so great to hear baby and you are both doing great! I believe my glucose test is on my 28 wk appointment, next wks appointment is just routine as usual. Hope it doesnt taste to bad, plus i have to sit in the office the full hr! aahh boringg! ha Sounds like a nice weekend you have planned! And i loveee the baby furniture set! So pretty! Im still undecided if i want to do white for a boy or not, I was thinking Espresso, but DH and I need to get on that registry path as well were slacking! ha

Kflores, glad your feeling better after talking to your Dr., my boobs hurt as well around the same time, it will pass..get used to sleeping on your side if you dont already that was a hard transition for me i was a true belly sleeper! i wish i had a pool too, think we might head up to my mother in laws beach house in NH supposed to be pretty nice out for once! Hope your 4th party goes well, and not to many people question why you arent drinking! ha

Have a great 4th!!!

I took the glucose test in my first trimester when I was having morning sickness. It didn't taste that bad at all. The worst part what that mine was the 3-hr test so I had to sit in the office fooooorever on an empty stomach.
I think you can do white or expresso depending on your personal taste. We just thought white made the room lighter but expresso is easier to keep clean.

Hey ladies how was your fourth?!

Mine was pretty good, laid back mostly which was nice for a change.

I have a question, so my sister in law and I are 1 day apart. She picked her babyshower date as 8/30, do i do a few weeks before or after? How much time is good enough between the two?!

My 4th of July weekend was pretty boring but productive. We ended up not doing the beach, but instead DH painted our 3rd bedroom which will be the new guest room. We also put up new curtains for the nursery and the new guest room. Lastly, we went to babies r' us and finished our registry.
I chose to keep my shower a surprise, but I have a feeling it'll be some time in September. It's really up to you if you want to do it before or after hers. As far as length of time in between I would say 2 weeks or more. That must be tough having your due dates be so close when it comes to planning for the shower. But, the good part is that your babies will be so close in age.

I think two weeks will be okay. Maybe do it two weeks after and get some tips about what you did/did not like from her shower and what to incorporate into yours. It is tough that its so close, but you gotta make it work somehow. You may even be able to squeeze 3 weeks after her shower if your comfortable with that. Up to you.

Glad you ladies had a good holiday, I did too. I ended up telling one of my friends who is currently 30 weeks that I am pregnant. Kinda hard when she asks if i'm mixing my drink and I say no! Its okay though, its nice to have another close pregnant friend to talk to about stuff. Hoping this week flys by so that it can be next Monday already and I can see my little sweet pea on the screen :)

It's always nice having pregnant friends to ask questions and discuss baby stuff. Can't wait to hear about your u/s. How have you been feeling?

I have been feeling pretty crummy lately. Extremely exhausted. I nap every day when I get home from work, then fall asleep around 8:30, and am still yawning and tired ALL day at work the next day. I would kill for a venti Starbucks or RedBull! Its getting really old so I hope this doesn't last for too long. The nausea is also creeping up to me. Comes in waves throughout the day but it definitely makes me feel even worse than I already do. I felt bad last night cause I got home and prepped for dinner then sat on the couch and literally could not get up. Moving my arm took everything out of me. Thankfully DH has been super supportive and he had no problem with cooking the rest of dinner and cleaning up. So, thats been my life lately! How are you feeling??

Thanks ladies. Its tough becase some of my family are going away certain days so i have to work around that as well. i think the only time i can really do it is after labor day weekend maybe 9/12 its only about week or so after my SIL. But i honestly dont have a choice id rather not wait till end of sept or early oct seeing who knows when ill go in labor, plus i want some time to set everything up and enjoy that too.

were in the process of seeing if we got this house to rent out hopefully by the end of the week, this will be a bigger price range for us but much needed room!

Kflores i was the same way in the beginning, always sleepy and tired, so glad DH is supportive we need that now. Its definitely good to have friends in the same boat too.

Babydust i want some input on date and decorations but i think the rest will be a surprise, we will see i guess! ha Thats so good your already getting things ready, i havent even started anything yet, hoping to start the registry this weekend, im just writing down things i want to get so i done forget!

Any of you ladies have pictures you want to share of your progress?! i would love to see them

Kflores that's exactly how I felt probably the first 2-2.5 months of pregnancy. DH would joke with me that I hadn't seen 9pm in ages. I'm glad your hubby is being supportive. I remember having my hubby's understanding that I was pretty much useless for those couple of months def helped. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you need to lay down, lay down...your house may get a little messy and you may be ordering take out a lot, but this will pass and come the second trimester you'll start getting your energy back. Although lately, I've been getting tired again..lol.

Isis I think my shower will be around the same time (mid September). A little tip of registering. Don't go too crazy putting all of the items you want at the store. I simply put a few items at the store and then did the rest on the computer at home. I liked it much better because I was able to look at reviews and not have to be walking around.

Babydust, it lasts for that long??? ahhhh I have a rough month of July ahead of me! DH keeps telling me, "You wanted to be pregnant!" and I say back, "Yeah, I know, but I didn't know exactly how I was going to feel" blah! Just taking one day at a time.

I don't really have a bump to show. I'm super bloated so that probably contributes to my pre-bump fluff!

the pre-pump fluff...lol! That's so funny!
It really depends on the person. For me it lasted that long, but I've heard different lengths for different women.

Babydust your still tiny! I feel hugeeee! ha Im definitely going to do some research beforehand as well but thanks so much for the tip I know the things you can get are overwhelming!

Kflores, your "fluff" (haha) is so cute!! I remember barely having anything, it comes up quick though, enjoy being lazy like babydust said you will get a little more energy in your 2nd. Not to mention if you dont rest and relax now, youll regret it when baby comes, My DH says that all the time. :) I did want to mention i still drink my small dunkin coffee in the morning Dr said even having 2 smalls a day is fine. If i dont i get a really bad headache but i just drink the small, if i even finish it.
